Everyone couldn’t help but notice Padma Lakshmi and her daughter Krishna Thea Lakshmi-Dell, who made New York City’s streets their own catwalk.
On Sunday, the tightly bonded pair were full of joy as they strolled with their cherished rescued Chihuahua, Divina, through their local community.
During their casual excursion, the previous host of Top Chef donned a stylish, mid-length brown dress paired with open-heeled sandals, and accessorized with sleek black sunglasses.
In the meantime, it’s clear that Lakshmi-Dell, Padma’s child with her former partner Adam Dell, is showing signs of being a rising fashion icon, dressed casually yet stylishly in a black leather jacket and low-waisted jeans.
It seems that the TV host’s daughter has gone through a growth spurt, causing her to be almost as tall (around 5 feet 9 inches) as her well-known mother.
For quite some time now, Krishna is regularly featured on her mother’s social media platforms, which showcase a variety of experiences such as shared culinary expeditions and lavish vacations.

Padma often refers to Krishna by the affectionate nickname, ‘Littlehands’, online.
Last year, I found myself grappling with the question of how much of Krishna’s life to reveal on social media platforms. It was a challenging balance to strike.
Initially, the celebrity hid her daughter’s face in Instagram posts using emojis, but later decided to showcase her daughter in her Hulu series, Taste the Nation.
In conversations with People, Padma expressed, ‘My daughter and I are constantly followed by photographers in New York City. Just like any other parent, I’m incredibly proud of her. However, I intend to share her on Instagram and beyond, but when she’s old enough, I want her decision about being publically exposed to be hers.’
In a different wording: ‘On the contrary, I enter people’s homes and find myself in very personal settings with my subjects, encouraging them to reveal themselves to me and my team. If I am not prepared to share similar intimacies about my own family and self, I would have felt dishonest or insincere.’
Last year, Lakshmi revealed Krishna finds her ‘overbearing’ in the kitchen.
She enjoys cooking with her father more honestly. She mentioned to People that I can be quite domineering, ‘You understand, she’s only 15, so I want her to go to college equipped with a variety of recipes – they don’t have to be complex; an omelette, roast chicken, some pasta sauces, curry rice, vegetables, two different ways to prepare potatoes, and basic things like that, just simple dishes that make her self-sufficient.’
Krishna also had the opportunity to add her own recipes to her mother’s recently published cookbook, “Padma’s All American Cookbook.

Padma enthusiastically shared, “Krishna’s unique culinary creation is featured within, and the photos showcase her growth over the very same years that I worked on compiling this book.
She continued to explain that her cookbook serves as a “food-filled diary of our life experiences from the past six to seven years.
Krishna entered high school last year.
She previously attended the United Nations School during her middle school years.
Last year, on Instagram, I penned down my heartfelt pride for Krishna and her remarkable accomplishments in her joyous young life. A special acknowledgment goes out to the theater department at UNIS and every single member of the parents association who have contributed significantly to this success story.
