Paddy McGuinness seemingly sees the funny side of his divorce as he takes a swipe at Christine just moments into his new stand-up comedy show
As a seasoned observer of celebrity lives, I must say, Christine McGuinness’ life has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. From her successful modeling career to her high-profile marriage and subsequent divorce, she seems to be navigating life with grace and resilience.
Paddy McGuinness appeared to see the funny side of his divorce in his new stand-up show.
On Thursday, after an eight-year hiatus, the comedian, who is now 51, stepped back onto the stage with his brand new show titled “Nearly There.
According to The Sun’s report, the TV host mentioned his ex-wife Christine within just a minute of the show.
In June of 2011, the 36-year-old model and the 50-year-old presenter tied the knot. They later had children: ten-year-old Leo and Penelope, as well as seven-year-old Felicity. Unfortunately, they separated in 2022.
Addressing the gathering at Blackburn’s King George’s Hall, the native of Bolton expressed: “Tonight is all about love and respect.

‘Loads of love in this room. I don’t care what race you are, what religion, what your sexuality is.
‘I don’t care how you identify. You can identify as a cat, for all I care.
Afterward, he made a harsh remark about his former partner: “Tonight, everyone, we gather together as humans sharing a single objective – to assist me in covering the costs of my divorce. I’ve found myself in quite a predicament financially.
‘I’m thinking of getting Children In Need to do a bike ride for me next year, or come round to a bedsit in Bolton filming me.’
But it wasn’t just Christine who Paddy turned the spotlight on.
Additionally, he made light-hearted comments involving Jeff Bezos, Prince Andrew, Philip Schofield, and the ex-BBC news anchor, Huw Edwards, who fell from grace.

And while the audience seemed to enjoy his jibes, Christine may not agree.
TopMob has contacted Christine’s reps for comment.
In July, the couple, who continue to share a close bond and reside under one roof with their kids, reached an agreement on their divorce peacefully, thus bypassing a protracted legal dispute.
And while Paddy seems to be holding on to their split, Christine has seemingly moved on.
In August, during an interview on Loose Women, Christine joyfully shared that she’d started a fresh relationship, though she remained discreet about specifics. She did, however, disclose her primary guideline for this new romance.
She declared: ‘I am dating! With terms and conditions. But the number one rule – I’m not doing the cooking.’
In the year 2021, Christine received a diagnosis of autism, which poses challenges related to food sensitivities for her. However, before their date, she communicated her specific preferences to her newly-acquainted partner.
She mentioned that she is currently in a dating situation, which is entirely fresh for her. Before their initial encounter, they had numerous conversations, and she made it clear that she prefers not to dine at a restaurant or eat out.
With a burst of joyful laughter, she summed up: “It’s fresh, it’s thrilling, it’s pleasant – that’s about it!
She confidently proclaimed that she delighted in challenging herself beyond her usual limits when it came to dating and participating in Celebrity MasterChef, expressing: “I wish for my children to witness me at work, contented, venturing into the unknown. And I desire it for myself as well.

A month has passed since Christine declared herself content as a single woman, yet she expressed optimism about finding love once more in her life.
Speaking to TopMob last month, she confessed she believed being in a relationship was an ‘amazing, magical thing to have in your life’, but was adamant she is in no rush to get married a second time.
Currently, I’m incredibly joyful, as I’ve never entered a romantic relationship without having been friends with the person first, not even during my teenage years. Over time, these friendships evolved into romantic relationships for me.
In our case, I had already known my former spouse for some time prior to us becoming romantically involved.
For the first time, I find myself entirely independent, with precious little time to spare for personal pursuits, as the clock ticks relentlessly.
As of now, I find myself unsure if I can fully commit to a relationship due to current circumstances. However, let me assure you, my desire for companionship remains undiminished.
