Paddy McGuinness and his ex-wife, Christine, have announced they’ll be spending Christmas Day together as a family, prioritizing their three children.
The couple, a 52-year-old TV presenter and a 37-year-old model, separated in July 2022 after being married for 11 years. Despite the split, they’ve been working together to raise their children and continue to live in the same house.
Paddy recently shared in an interview that he and his ex-partner will definitely spend the holidays together, prioritizing their three children – 11-year-old twins Penelope and Leo, and their seven-year-old daughter, Felicity.
He shared with The Sun that he sympathizes with people going through breakups, saying separations are difficult for everyone involved.
If you can remain friendly after a separation and work together to support your children, that’s a really positive outcome.
He confirmed they would spend Christmas together, explaining that both families are related through their children, who always enjoy seeing everyone.

Paddy mentioned they feel fortunate to have a positive atmosphere at home, and the kids don’t seem to notice any tension or unhappiness.
He also explained that most parents who have separated simply want what is best for their children.
The ex-Top Gear host explained that he and his co-star are fortunate because their kids get to see them having fun and joking around at home.
Paddy said that they’re hosting friends and family so the kids can see everyone during the holidays.
He mentioned they’ll be having a low-key Christmas, as that’s what his kids prefer.
Like Christine, all three of Paddy’s children have been diagnosed with autism.
Autism, also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a condition that impacts brain development and affects how people communicate, socialize, and understand the world around them.
Paddy explained that when his twins were born, even a small Christmas tree was too much for them – it was overstimulating and they couldn’t have one in the house.

He shared that their home now feels very festive, with a Christmas tree fully decorated and playing cheerful holiday tunes.
This interview follows Christine’s recent discussion about life after her separation from Paddy, where she shared that she’s sometimes felt lonely as a single person.
The model and TV personality, recently divorced after finalizing the split last year, openly discussed how she’s been adapting to life on her own.
Christine shared in October that she’s still figuring things out with dating and exploring her sexuality. She described the last year as a time for personal growth and understanding herself better.
The mother of three, who identifies as a ‘free spirit’ and has been attracted to people of all genders since her teens, has said that gender isn’t important to her in relationships.
Earlier this year, she joined the reality show Celebs Go Dating hoping to meet someone new and start dating again.
However, midway through filming, she quit the show as she wanted to ‘go home to her children.’
Ugh, it just kills me that Christine is still single! She’s so amazing, and she recently admitted how tough it is being out there, trying to find someone. Honestly, it breaks my heart for her! She deserves all the happiness in the world, and it’s just so frustrating to see her struggling when she’s such a catch!
She recently shared with The Sun at the Attitude Awards in London that she finds it difficult wanting to date.
I often feel lonely, and I think that’s why I find it hard to enjoy social events. I’ve especially had a tough time at the ones I’ve attended recently.

She explained that there’s a moment when you just feel like giving up and going home, but it’s a really enjoyable experience if you’re with someone you care about.
While appearing on Celebs Go Dating, Christine unexpectedly shared details about the issues in her marriage with her ex-husband, Paddy, explaining that their trust had been broken.
She shared that when she first met her ex-husband, he wasn’t famous like he is today. She was just 19 years old and working as a model at an event where they met.
‘My ex-husband was there, someone introduced us. We had a laugh and kept in touch.’
When the experts asked Christine if she was attracted to Paddy, she confirmed that she was. She explained, ‘He was funny and had a playful, charming personality.’
She also described meeting Paddy as ‘perfect timing’ and said it was ‘an easy relationship.’
The experts then asked Christine about the split, and she explained, ‘Everyone makes mistakes, but I believe the real problem was a loss of trust.’
I’ll always have love for him – he’s the father of my children, and I truly believe he’s my one true love.
Everyone makes mistakes, but when you’re a public couple, those mistakes become very visible to everyone else.
