Paddy McGuinness Launches New Project Amid Costly Divorce Drama with Christine
Paddy McGuinness recently shared news about his upcoming solo venture, which comes as he navigates through an expensive separation from his spouse, Christie.
The comic, aged 51, is all geared up for appearing in a digital series titled “Training Days,” which will be aired on various social media outlets.
At Advertising Week, Paddy shared an insight: The health and fitness sector, worth trillions, seems to be chasing after instant solutions, as everyone yearns for them.
People often wonder, ‘Why does that person have that appearance? Will changing my habits lead to the same look?’ However, it’s not as simple as everyone seeking that specific protein shake, as it doesn’t work for everyone.
There’s a TV show titled ‘Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,’ starring Jerry Seinfeld. A similar series could be called ‘Training Days,’ but instead of cars and coffee shops, it takes place in gyms. These aren’t just weightlifting gyms; they can be any kind of exercise facility. The unique aspect is that it offers a non-professional perspective on the gym experience.
Paddy mentioned: “I plan to talk to an intriguing individual, be it a renowned figure or someone within the field. It’s mainly about making myself available and showing people what they do.

Discussing the advantages while undergoing training. I will be training alongside one of the Gladiators.
After Christine openly disclosed the substantial sum she expended on the divorce proceedings with her former spouse, Paddy, following their separation.
In 2022, they parted ways following eleven years of matrimony, yet they still reside jointly in their opulent £6million, twelve-bedroom estate, primarily for the wellbeing of their trio of children who are on the autism spectrum.
Although they lived harmoniously together, Christine disclosed that their divorce was a challenging experience for both of them. They each engaged high-priced legal representatives, resulting in significant financial losses for the pair.
37-year-old mother of three disclosed that the financial impact of their separation amounted to a personal expense of £300,000, stating that she had to cover these costs from her own savings.
Instead of having him cover the costs, as some speculated, she disclosed that she personally financed her own divorce proceedings.
In an episode of The Shizzio Show podcast, Christine clarified a common misconception: ‘Contrary to popular belief, I financed my own divorce. Many might presume that the male party covers the legal costs or whomever makes more income does so. However, in my case, that wasn’t the reality.’
Shizzio quipped back: ‘He’s not going to pay for your legal fees to attack him is he?’

Christine clarified: ‘Many people might believe that if you’re getting divorced from someone wealthy, your attorney fees will automatically be paid. However, that’s not always the case.’
Next, the podcaster expressed a desire to argue from an alternative perspective by inquiring about her thoughts on the viewpoint that she might not deserve half of the assets, since he was the one who earned the income.
Christine clarified: ‘I didn’t get half, I didn’t ask for half’.
She shared that given another chance, the situation would likely unfold differently, as she put it: “I believe if we had the opportunity to repeat this experience, we would approach it in a totally different manner. This is due to the significant amount of funds we’ve expended on legal representation during our divorce.
When inquired about the amount, she replied, “I, myself, would put forward £300,000. It’s my personal savings that I currently don’t possess.
1) “Instead of hiring costly attorneys, I believe I might have opted for a more budget-friendly legal representative, matching the quality of the one defending him.
‘I didn’t have £300,000 spare to spend on divorce. I’m still paying for it.’
Christine elaborated on where they reside now, explaining that they share a vast estate with their trio of kids, each diagnosed with autism.
She clarified: “The property is jointly owned by both of us; it wasn’t won or obtained through a contest. In fact, there are no winners in a divorce situation. Neither party contested the ownership.
In my perspective, if we were to part ways with our dwelling, it would represent a 50% share. However, we’ve both opted to continue living here, considering it the optimal choice for our children at this moment. This isn’t a permanent decision, as they find change challenging. In fact, they’re still adjusting to the idea of spending a night elsewhere – even at a friend’s house for a sleepover.

To avoid making it unfair for them to constantly switch between their mother’s and father’s homes without a fixed schedule since we both have unpredictable work locations, a regular routine would be more suitable for them.
They’re familiar with their living space, including their homes, bedrooms, and personal belongings. Regardless of the day, this knowledge enables them to return home from school and navigate comfortably within their environment.
In another part of the interview, Christine revealed the “incomprehensible” cause that led to her divorce with her ex-spouse.
She shared that it had been a challenging period for her to make the decision to part ways with TV host Paddy, who is 51 years old. Regrettably, there seemed to be no way to mend the relationship between them.
She said: ‘I’ve never spoken about the reasons for our divorce, and I don’t know if I ever will.
That period was challenging for us. It wasn’t a decision made lightly or impulsively; rather, it was a situation we found ourselves in over time.
‘We tried, and, yeah, there just, unfortunately, there was no repairing it, you know?
Regardless of any changes, my affection for him as the father of our children remains constant, and I continue to reside under his roof, which speaks volumes about our bond.
Three years have passed since our separation, and now we’re legally divorced. We each reside in different areas within our shared household.
Christine disclosed that Paddy is back on the dating scene, and there’s a single, firm condition they both adhere to while residing in their shared £6m residence.
She continued: ‘I feel like it’s ok for me to date, I want to have a relationship again one day.’
‘Paddy has dated, is currently dating, and has always been straightforward and truthful.’
But she revealed they do have a rule, he’s not allowed to bring women back to their family home.
According to reports, it seems that Christine has registered for Celebs Go Dating following her separation from husband Paddy.

Nevertheless, while rumors suggest Christine yearns for a new beginning after their divorce, she seems determined to demonstrate her advancement by appearing on the popular dating program, signaling her move towards the future.
The model is reportedly seeking love, which may lead her to travel overseas, as the E4 series is set to film on the Spanish island of Ibiza for the first time.
According to a source, the production team is thrilled to have signed Christine, as they believe her screen presence will captivate many women in their thirties who are single again following a divorce.
Viewers can expect a more intimate glimpse into Christine’s persona, as she shares insights about her personal experiences and records her coaching sessions with the dating specialists featured on the program.
‘Since Christine openly shares her journey towards spiritual growth and healing in Ibiza through social media, it’s no wonder she’s excited to have a job there now.’
TopMob have contacted representatives of Christine and Celebs Go Dating for comment.
The filming of the well-known TV series will start in May, and it’s expected to air on our screens towards the end of this year.
