Ozzy Osbourne’s Final Black Sabbath Show: A Battle Against Parkinson’s and Banned Stars

However, it’s important to note that the challenges posed by Parkinson’s disease may make walking a bit of a struggle for him during this performance.

In a remarkable comeback, the iconic rock artist will join forces once more with original Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi for a performance at Aston Villa’s football stadium in Birmingham, seating up to 43,000 spectators, scheduled for July 5.

However, although the original heavy metal band members are anticipated to have a victorious comeback in the Midlands city where they originated back in 1968, Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy’s wife, hints that the event could prove challenging.

She shared with The Sun that he’s both thrilled and deeply moved by his return, as he grapples with the ongoing progression of Parkinson’s disease.

In my professional opinion, what we’re dealing with here isn’t something that can be balanced or maintained in a stable state. This condition seems to impact various aspects of the body, and unfortunately, it’s taking a toll on his lower extremities. However, I must commend him for maintaining a voice that remains as strong and clear as it has always been.

Many prominent figures are expected to be present at the historic performance, yet Sharon has indicated that Kanye West, along with his spouse Bianca Censori, may not be invited following an incident where he used Black Sabbath’s song “Iron Man” without obtaining proper permission.

She firmly stated, “Absolutely not. I would never allow him close to me.” Additionally, she mentioned that the woman’s behavior is quite unrefined and said, “Her overly large and loose figure of speech is quite noticeable as well.

Fans of Black Sabbath have expressed worry about the band member’s wellbeing following his announcement that the band’s final performance, which is their first in twenty years, will take place.

With great anticipation, numerous individuals eagerly await the chance to obtain tickets, but others have raised questions about whether Ozzy will be in good health to deliver a performance.

Due to health issues delaying their return to the UK, Ozzy – who is dealing with these complications alongside his wife Sharon – has undergone seven operations over the past five years, including a fourth spinal surgery in September 2023. Additionally, he has been battling Parkinson’s disease since 2003.

The main concern is whether Ozzy will manage to reach that stage. Fingers crossed, they’ll organize things in a way that allows him to give a performance, considering his health challenges.

It seems a bit unlikely, doesn’t it? After all, Ozzy hasn’t been performing for quite some time because of health issues and has had to cancel several shows. But man, the line-up sure looks incredible!

Recently, it was challenging for Ozzy to deliver an acceptance speech at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, even when seated. I sincerely hope his health has improved since then. However, it’s highly unlikely that Ozzy would be in good enough shape for singing now.

Given the current state of Ozzy and Geezer’s health, it seems heartbreaking to even imagine attending their performance. It’s hard for me to fathom how Ozzy might manage to perform a full set at all.

I attended their concert in Birmingham when the original group reunited. It was an incredible evening. Even though I’m unsure if Oz will be able to deliver as he once did, if Mick can still perform, why shouldn’t he too?

Recently, Sharon mentioned that she and Ozzy wished to return to the United Kingdom due to gun violence concerns in America. However, Ozzy’s health prevented them from traveling at that time. Now, it appears that a remarkable event has taken place, as Ozzy seems to be in better health. So, let’s hope they might consider returning to the UK soon.
