As a longtime fan, it really touched me to see the new trailer for the upcoming BBC documentary about Ozzy Osbourne. He shared that he felt like he was ‘finally home’, and honestly, it gave me chills. It’s incredibly moving to see that, even while facing everything, he’s found a sense of peace. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this documentary and it looks like it will be a truly special and honest look at his life. You can find more information about it here, and I know I’ll be tuning in as soon as it airs!
Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic singer of Black Sabbath, died on July 22nd at the age of 76. He was with his family when he passed away. Osbourne had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019.
He was buried a week later on July 30.
Before his death, BBC cameras documented Ozzy and his wife Sharon as they made plans to move back to the UK from America for good.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that the footage will be available starting October 2nd! And get this – there’s a brand new trailer out showing Ozzy as he touched down back on British soil. It’s so exciting to see this moment captured, and I know fans will love it!
During the clip, he tells producers: ‘I’m so looking forward to an English summer.’

Sharon is then heard saying to the cameras: ‘I always told Ozzy that when he turned 70, we would stop [performing in America].’
Ozzy adds: ‘I can’t wait til I’m there.’
The trailer clearly shows how close the couple is, with Sharon questioning her husband: ‘Do you want a quiet life now?’ He quickly responds: ‘No. Yes, but no.’
She also openly shares: ‘We’re pretty average. To be honest, we’re actually quite dull when you get down to it.‘
‘I wouldn’t say we’re f****king normal,’ quips Ozzy in a sweary reply to his wife.
In touching scenes, Ozzy then says: ‘I feel like I’m finally home. This is my home.’
When quizzed on what he’s most looking forward to, Ozzy tells Sharon: ‘Doing absolutely nothing.’
In August, Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home – described as a ‘moving and inspirational account of the last chapter’ of the musician’s life – was unexpectedly pulled from TV schedules only hours before it was scheduled to air.

Shortly after reports surfaced, the BBC reportedly felt compelled to make last-minute changes because of concerns raised by Ozzy Osbourne’s family. They were worried about how quickly the show was being produced, especially given the ‘race’ against Paramount+ to release footage of the rocker’s final months.
Both streaming services had access to footage of Ozzy during the last three years of his life, and reports indicate they were competing to be the first to release it.
It was then reported that the BBC documentary was delayed due to this, and also because the family was concerned about the general feeling and message it conveyed.
Recently, a preview of the Paramount+ documentary showed that Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell concert was a special final present from his wife, Sharon. This came after he bravely fought health issues and dealt with depression for six years.
The feature-length film, directed by BAFTA award-winner Tania Alexander, will be released on October 7.

The documentary, Ozzy: No Escape From Now, delves into how the Black Sabbath legend’s ongoing pain impacted his well-being and influenced the music he made later in his career.
In the movie, Sharon asks: ‘How about we put on one last, big show?’ Ozzy responds: ‘I want to tell my fans, thank you for all the support over the years.’
The clip then jumps forward, with Sharon telling him: ‘July 5th is the date.’
Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan said to the camera: ‘This is Sharon’s gift to Ozzy. You deserve this.‘
I’ll never forget that concert. It was just three weeks before he passed, and it was incredible to see him back on stage with the original Black Sabbath bandmates – the first time they’d all played together since 2005. It was truly a special night and a bittersweet memory now.

Over 42,000 fans filled the venue for the Back To The Beginning show, and during his last address to the audience, he said: ‘You’ve no idea how I feel – thank you from the bottom of my heart.‘
Official documents listed three causes of death for the rock legend.
This encompassed a cardiac arrest occurring outside of the hospital, a sudden heart attack (acute myocardial infarction), coronary artery disease, and Parkinson’s disease complicated by problems with the autonomic nervous system.
In a statement, Ozzy’s family announced that he died “surrounded by love.” They continued: “It is with more sadness than words can express that we share the news of our beloved Ozzy Osbourne’s passing this morning.”
