Ozzy Osbourne reveals the real reason stopping him from touring – and it isn’t his Parkinson’s diagnosis as he jokes: ‘I’m nearly f*****g dead!’
As a dedicated follower of Ozzy Osbourne’s life and career spanning decades, it’s heartbreaking to witness the struggles he faces today due to his health issues. The man who once ruled the stage with Black Sabbath is now battling not just one, but multiple obstacles that have left him nearly bedridden.
Ozzy Osbourne has disclosed the genuine explanation behind his inability to embark on tours, and it’s not due to his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.
The lead singer of Black Sabbath, now 75 years old, humorously commented, “I’m almost at the point of being deceased!”, while discussing his health problems and the particular complication that has been causing him the most trouble.
Over the last five years, the musician has gone through seven operations, among which was a fourth back surgery in September 2023. It’s also said that he has been dealing with Parkinson’s disease since 2003.
In an interview with The Sun, Ozzy shared that he’s had difficulty walking normally ever since his surgery following a fall in 2019.
The star revealed he tripped during a bathroom visit in the night and fell over and landed wrong.

He shared that he visited a healthcare provider, but it seemed everyone assumes they are competent. His son Jack recorded him entering the operating room, with him saying, “I’ll catch up with you soon.” Ever since then, he hasn’t been walking normally.
Ozzy asserted that perhaps too much blame for his situation is being attributed to his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.
He argued: ‘I mean, when I came off the quad bike in 2003, I still did tours and I had Parkinson’s back then. It was THAT f*****g surgery.’
The star also admitted that he has no regrets and wouldn’t change anything about his life.
As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share the intriguing tidbit that this beloved figure disclosed: His wife, Sharon, inquired if, given another chance, he would alter his journey. With a heart full of contentment, he admitted that he wouldn’t change a thing, as he’s relished every moment of it all!
Meanwhile Ozzy’s health issues have delayed the family’s move back to England.
In an episode of their podcast “The Osbournes” in July, Sharon mentioned that whenever they plan to return to England, something always seems to occur regarding Ozzy’s health.
She stayed hopeful, saying, “Don’t worry, we’ll make it. We really miss going back, don’t we, Ozzy? And we will.” To this, he agreed with a simple, “Yes.

Initially planning to come back to the UK in August 2022, this pair has encountered multiple obstacles along the way.
Again, Ozzy expressed his intention to relocate to England, sharing that he yearns for it and prefers not to spend his later years in the United States because he misses England dearly.
The artist, who uses a wheelchair and crutches for mobility, has faced challenges with substance abuse (both drugs and alcohol) in the past. He openly admitted that he occasionally resorted to using marijuana again.
Ozzy receives physical therapy sessions three times per week, along with two weekly visits from a personal trainer, all aimed at enhancing his overall wellness.
He also explained he wants to start doing yoga to improve his balance.
