The world could always use more heroes, and Jetpack Cat might just be the hero it needs right now.
Jetpack Cat, whose real name is Fika, became a playable character in Overwatch on February 10th and has quickly become known for her funny moments during gameplay. Many players are already familiar with her backstory, but Blizzard recently released a new video showing Fika interacting with Brigitte!

Okay, so I just found out about this awesome new Overwatch story called “Project: Jetpack Katt”! It’s narrated by Matilda Smedius, who actually is the voice of Brigitte, which is so cool. Basically, now that Null Sector is dealt with, things are kinda slow at Gibraltar for the team. But Brigitte’s got a surprise – she rescued a little stowaway in the landing bay and is super busy taking care of it! I can’t wait to read it!
Brigitte revisited childhood memories and old sketches, hoping to bring a long-held dream to life.
Brigitte says her pet, who she’s named Fika because of its resemblance to a Swedish cinnamon bun, has been a wonderful surprise.
Brigitte explains her process for building a jetpack for Fika, and ultimately feels Fika would be a valuable asset to the Overwatch team.
Brigitte admitted that a cat with a jetpack was even a bit much for our team. But then she added, ‘We always say the world could use more heroes,’ and I started to think maybe this cat was exactly the hero we needed.
