Overwatch patch notes: Domina nerf, Emre buff, and more

Overwatch was temporarily unavailable, but servers are now restored with a new update released on February 13th. This patch includes changes to several heroes, including Domina, Emre, Anran, Vendetta, Jetpack Cat, and Mizuki.

The latest Overwatch update, released on February 13th, adjusts the game’s six most recently added heroes. Domina, Vendetta, and Jetpack Cat have been slightly weakened, while Emre has been strengthened. There are also tweaks to Anran and Mizuki. These changes aim to make abilities feel more reliable and consistent, and to balance the heroes more effectively.

Blizzard Entertainment said they are keeping a close eye on how things are going and will release a larger update around the middle of the season if it becomes necessary.

Overwatch nerfs Domina

Hey everyone, just a heads-up on the latest Overwatch patch. They’ve tweaked D.Va a little bit. Her Defense Matrix, which is basically her shield, now has less health – it’s down to 225 from 250. So, it won’t hold up quite as long, meaning I’ll need to be a bit more careful about when I use it!

Barrier Array: Barrier Panel Health reduced from 250 to 225.

OW patch notes: Emre buffs

Emre, a damage-dealing hero, is receiving some improvements. His ‘Take Aim’ ability will now be effective at a slightly longer range, extending from 30-45 meters to 35-50 meters. Additionally, the area of effect for his grenade, ‘Cyber Frag,’ is increasing from 1.25 meters to 2 meters.

Synthetic Burst Rifle – Take Aim: Falloff range increased from 30-45 to 35-50 meters.
Cyber Frag: Explosion damage minimum radius increased from 1.25 to 2 meters.

Ow patch notes today: Anran updates

Okay, so I’m really excited about the recent changes to Anran! They’ve bumped up the damage from her main attack a little, which is nice. But the big thing for me is how they’ve reworked her secondary fire – it now bypasses armor better, so it’ll actually feel like I’m doing damage! They also made it so I can cancel her dash with a quick melee attack, which is awesome for repositioning, and her burn effect lasts longer now too. All in all, these changes feel like they’ll make her a much more effective damage dealer.

Zhuque Fans: Impact damage increased from 20 to 22.
Fan the Flames: Impact damage now uses beam damage against armor mitigation (Only reduced by 30% when used on armor).
Inferno Rush: Can now be canceled with quick melee.
Ignition – Passive: Burning build up linger time increased from 3 to 4 seconds.

Vendetta is also receiving a change. Her Siphoning Strike ability, which restores health with overhead strikes, now only restores 30% of the damage dealt as health.

Siphoning Strike – Minor Perk: Lifesteal reduced from 40% to 30%.

Overwatch nerfs Jetpack Cat

Okay, so it looks like Fika, the Jetpack Cat, is getting a bit toned down too. They’re reducing how quickly her fuel refills when you’re using her Frenetic Flight – that’s the ability where you hold down the movement key to zoom around. It used to recharge at a rate of 30, but now it’s going to be 25. Basically, I won’t be able to boost around quite as much before needing to wait for fuel to come back.

Frenetic Flight: Regeneration rate reduced from 30 to 25.

Overwatch hotfix: Mizuki buffs and nerfs

Mizuki has received several updates to his abilities. His Spirit Glaive now casts faster, with a 0.025-second cast time, but has a 0.75-second recovery period. His Healing Kasa now reaches further and is easier to aim with a wider target area. Finally, his ultimate ability, Kekkai Sanctuary, now costs more energy, but immediately restores 100 health to allies when activated.

Spirit Glaive: Cast time reduced from 0.1 to 0.025 seconds. Recovery time increased from 0.7 to 0.75 seconds.
Healing Kasa: Range increased from 25 to 30 meters. Default soft targeting range increased from 8 to 10 degrees.
Kekkai Sanctuary: Ultimate cost increased by 7%. Now heals for 100 instant healing on cast.
