One user on the game’s online forum, Tough_Holiday584, pointed out that a Steam update removed the “2” from the game’s title. The “Overwatch 2 – Invasion Bundle” was simply changed to “Overwatch – Invasion Bundle.”

This change mirrors a recent update to how we present the Overwatch Spotlight event. This year, it’s simply named “Overwatch Spotlight,” while last year’s event was called “Overwatch 2 Spotlight.”

Why is removing the 2 in Overwatch a big deal?
