Every week, you’ll choose to support either Overwatch or Talon, and then take on missions that connect to the game’s story.
Overwatch is introducing a new event where players can choose to support either team Overwatch or team Talon and compete for special prizes. Here’s a breakdown of everything you need to know about the Season 1 Conquest event.
Overwatch Conquest event
Blizzard Entertainment is launching a five-week event in Overwatch 2 called Conquest, pitting the Overwatch and Talon organizations against each other. Players will participate in missions, uncover new story details, and unlock rewards themed around their chosen faction.
The game will feature daily and weekly challenges where players can earn a new currency called “Reputation.” To make things even more competitive, the event page will show which player faction is currently winning.
Before the event begins, senior game producer Kenny Hudson explained that Season 1 will feature a new in-game event where players can choose to support either Overwatch or Talon. Each week, you’ll complete missions related to the game’s story, and the side with the most successful missions will earn rewards. The event lasts five weeks, giving players a chance to play for both sides and try to win with each one.
Overwatch Talon faction war
The upcoming Conquest event will pit the Overwatch and Talon factions against each other, but players won’t be locked into one side. Blizzard Entertainment announced that you can change which faction you support after finishing your weekly faction progress.
Hudson also explained that players aren’t stuck with their initial faction choice. They can act as a double agent and switch sides during the game, avoiding isolation if their first pick doesn’t work out.
