Overwatch 2’s Season 20 brings a lot of new content, including a new Battle Pass, updates to ranked play, improvements to the Stadium map, and a new story event called Vendetta. Plus, the popular Winter Wonderland event is returning with a fresh take! Here’s a complete guide to Winter Wonderland 2025 in Overwatch 2.

Overwatch 2’s Winter Wonderland event will be available from December 9th to January 6th. When you start the event, you’ll be able to choose to play as Tracer, Junkrat, or Torbjorn, and each character offers unique rewards.

During Tracer’s Jingle Workshop, you’ll get 10 free tier skips for the Battle Pass. If you choose Junkrat’s Krampus’ Basket, you’ll receive 36 standard loot boxes and 4 legendary ones. Torbjorn’s Santa’s Sleigh is the way to go if you want the Frozen Junkrat and Frozen Cassidy skins. With Torbjorn’s workshop, you’ll also unlock 3 player icons and 5 sprays.

Tracer, Torbjorn, or Junkrat in Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland 2025?

Okay, so something I figured out about this event is that the challenges are the same no matter which hero you pick. And don’t worry, you’re not stuck with your first choice! You can switch heroes if you want. But here’s the catch: you have to unlock the rewards in order. Like, if I’m going for the Torbjorn stuff, I need to get his Tier 1 prize – the Snowreaper icon – before I can get anything else. It’s basically just a track of rewards you unlock one after another.

To get the rewards you’re interested in, just select a hero and finish challenges to earn Winter Wonderland Cookies. You can then use those cookies to claim your rewards.

Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland 2025 challenges

There are also event challenges to complete. These simply ask you to play special, limited-time game modes like Mischief & Magic and winter-themed brawls, including Freezethaw Elimination, Snowball Deathmatch, Yeti Hunter, and Mei’s Snowball Offensive.
