Overwatch 2 survey gives first look at Wuyang’s abilities and perks!
Here’s a first look at Wuyang’s kit in Overwatch 2.
Based on recent news, an Overwatch 2 survey is circulating, featuring a sneak peek at Wuyang’s equipment. Known as Hero 44, Wuyang is a support character who harnesses the power of water. Additionally, we understand that he has Chinese roots and carries a unique weapon within the game. Let’s delve into Wuyang’s skills, ultimate, bonuses, and more before his introduction to Overwatch 2!
Overwatch 2 hints at Wuyang’s abilities and ultimate
On July 24th, OWCavalry shared a sneak peek at Wuyang’s equipment in Overwatch 2. According to their post, this information is derived from one of Blizzard Entertainment’s questionnaires. The soon-to-be support character is rumored to carry the Xuanwu Staff as a weapon. This staff is said to be capable of dishing out damage with a water orb and providing passive healing after creating a stream of water on an ally teammate.
In another scenario, Wuyang might acquire skills such as Guardian Wave and Rushing Torrent. The first one, Guardian Wave, has the ability to amplify the healing power of allies and push back adversaries simultaneously. On the other hand, Rushing Torrent allows Wuyang to traverse water at a faster pace and with an added jump boost.
Regarding Wuyang’s final ability, it appears to be known as Tidal Blast. Upon initial observation, this skill creates a protective barrier of water around both Wuyang and an adjacent ally. After a brief period, this barrier explodes, causing enemy opponents to be knocked down and significantly restoring the health of the allied character.
Overwatch 2 Wuyang perks teased
Regarding benefits, the lesser advantages include Overflow and Equilibrium. Overflow allows Wuyang to have extra ammunition and recovery items when using the Rushing Torrent ability. On the other hand, Equilibrium compensates players by providing additional healing for inflicting harm.
The primary advantages are Ebb and Flow, similar to Tracer’s Recall ability, which moves Wuyang back to his initial position but reduces his attacking power. Additionally, there’s Falling Rain, as pointed out by OWCavalry, enabling the support hero to manipulate up to three water orbs simultaneously. These orbs inflict less damage and have a smaller explosion radius.
Overwatch 2 Wuyang trial draws near
The post by OWCavalry sparked a great deal of enthusiasm within the Overwatch 2 community. Many people voiced their eagerness for the forthcoming hero trial featuring Wuyang. Additionally, some individuals declared that they would soon be playing Wuyang as their primary character.
