Overwatch 2 Season 20 mid-season patch notes
This update significantly reduces the power of Vendetta, as well as making adjustments to D.Va, Lucio, and other heroes. At the same time, Roadhog and Genji are getting stronger, and most support heroes—like Illari, Moira, and Zenyatta—are receiving buffs as well.
Overwatch 2 Season 20 mid-season patch: Tanks
Several tank heroes have been adjusted. Doomfist’s Rocket Punch now has a limited duration of 20 seconds, after which it needs to recharge, and his Power Matrix ability now better aligns with his size. D.Va’s Boosters perk has been slightly weakened because players were using them too effectively for damage. Finally, Roadhog’s ultimate ability now deals more damage with each individual shot.

The latest Overwatch 2 update includes damage adjustments for several heroes: Ashe, Bastion, Freja, Genji, Symmetra, Vendetta, and Venture. The newest hero, Vendetta, received several nerfs designed to make it slightly harder to quickly eliminate opponents and change how players approach combat with her.

Overwatch patch notes January 8: Support buffs and nerfs
We’ve also made balance adjustments to the support heroes Illari, Lucio, Moira, and Zenyatta. Illari received damage increases, and Lucio’s Soundwave is slightly stronger. Moira’s ultimate now charges faster, and Zenyatta’s Discord Orb now boosts damage by 30%, up from 25%.

I’m so excited about the new updates! They brought back Quick Play Hacked: Assault, which is awesome, and there are tons of new skins! We’re getting the incredible Mythic Magma Titan Doomfist, skins from the Cosmic Overwatch League, and a whole Borealis Collection with new looks for Wuyang, Lifeweaver, Sojourn, and Echo. It’s a skin lover’s dream!
I’m so hyped for what’s coming up in Overwatch 2! They’re adding a new mode called Showdown Shuffle, and there’s going to be a fun event where you hunt for loot with Junkrat. Plus, we’re getting Season 20 Competitive Play and a whole new collection of cool skins called the Heist Collection. It’s gonna be a great time!
