“We redesigned mythics so you feel mythic from the very first level.”
Overwatch 2 is getting some big updates with the start of Season 19! Blizzard has revamped how you earn customization options, and they’ve just revealed the new mythic skins. Here’s a breakdown of what’s changing and a preview of the new looks.
Overwatch 2 Season 19 mythic skins
Overwatch 2’s Season 19 will feature a new mythic hero skin for Lifeweaver. Players can unlock a mythic Spirit Keeper skin for Kiriko right when the season begins. Later in the season, a mythic Cyber Fuel skin for Junkrat will be released. You can see previews of the Lifeweaver and Kiriko skins now, but Blizzard hasn’t shown off the Junkrat skin yet.

Overwatch 2 Season 19 mythics get major update
Blizzard Entertainment has announced that when you first unlock a mythic hero skin, you’ll immediately receive the complete look. For instance, unlocking Tier 1 of the Divine Druid Lifeweaver skin gives you his full final design. After that, you can unlock further tiers to customize the skin with different parts, special effects, and colors.
The old system of progressing by ‘evolving’ your character is being replaced. Now, each level you gain will let you customize your magical creature in unique ways, starting with its overall appearance.
Overwatch 2 producer Ren Soanes recently revealed details about a new feature in an official video. Starting with Season 19, players will unlock a ‘Mythic’ skin at level 1. This skin includes a completely new look and sound effects for all of Lifeweaver’s abilities, offering a visually stunning experience in battle.
As you progress, you’ll gain more ways to customize your key parts. At level 2, all customization options become available – for instance, the Divine Druid Lifeweaver skin will let you choose from three different backpacks. Level 3 unlocks more color options, and at level 4, you’ll be able to turn on ambient visual effects to make your mythic skin stand out even more.

Once you’ve fully upgraded a Mythic hero skin, you can start collecting its Gilded and Iridescent versions.
“We redesigned mythics so you feel mythic from the very first level,” Soanes added.
