Overwatch 2 players can now increase their Drive Score by winning ranked Stadium matches.
Overwatch 2 Season 20 is almost here, so players have a little time left to finish the current Season 19 Battle Pass and participate in the Competitive Drives event. Here’s a rundown of what’s happening with the Season 19 Competitive Drives and the rewards you can earn.
Overwatch 2 Season 19 Competitive Drives
You can join the competitive mode in Overwatch 2 and earn Competitive Points until December 4th. The better you perform (indicated by your Drive Score), the more points you’ll receive. Keep an eye out for Drive Signatures – they feature a light blue background with gold accents.
Once you reach a Drive Score of 1,000, you’ll get a basic Drive Signature, and it will become more elaborate as your score increases. You’ll also receive rewards at certain Drive Score milestones, and other players will be able to see your Drive Signature throughout the next season.
How to increase your Drive Score in Overwatch 2
To improve your Drive Score in Competitive Play, you need to win matches. Winning gives you 201 points, while losing reduces your score – the amount lost depends on your current checkpoint, but it can be up to 63 points. If you win while playing as a group, you’ll get an extra 50 points, bringing your total Drive Score gain to 251 for a group win.
Okay, so if you’re hitting the ranked Stadium mode, each win gets you 265 Drive Score, which is awesome. But be warned – losing will knock off 80, so try not to let that happen too often!
