“I’ll just go with the flow!”

The long-awaited trailer for Overwatch 2 featuring gameplay of the new support character, Wuyang, has been released. This sneak peek offers a detailed view of his abilities. Moreover, the trailer announces the official launch date for Wuyang!

Overwatch 2 Wuyang gameplay trailer

Here is the complete trailer for Overwatch 2 featuring Wuyang. Initially, we get a glimpse into Wuyang’s character, followed by him wielding his weapon, the Xuanwu Staff. With the staff, he manipulates a ball of water and steers its course before it detonates on Freja.

Subsequently, he employs his Guardian Wave skill, causing a healing surge of water towards his comrades and an effort to push back Hazard. Yet, Lifeweaver intervenes by activating Life Grip, thus shielding our tank hero.

Afterward, the supporting character casts Restorative Stream, creating a continuous flow of healing water that passively benefits D.Va. Similarly, he performs this action to aid other team members in the video.

Wuyang then rides a stream of water, moves faster, and jumps higher thanks to Rushing Torrent.

For his final move, he employs Tidal Blast. In this action, he envelops both Wuyang and Reaper within a protective bubble of water. Upon explosion, the water sends waves that knock down adversaries while simultaneously restoring health to both characters.

Overwatch 2 Wuyang release date

At the close of the trailer, we learn that Wuyang will be released on August 26th. Interestingly, this date marks the beginning of Overwatch 2’s Season 18.

If you can’t hold back, feel free to join the fray as Wuyang during his hero trial, which, according to Blizzard Entertainment, takes place from August 14 to August 18. However, given our past observations of Overwatch 2 updates, it seems reasonable to expect that the trial will conclude on August 19 at 11 a.m. Pacific Time.
