In Season 15, starting February 18th, the updated Perk system is set to roll out in Overwatch 2, introducing significant changes to its fundamental gameplay, as announced by Blizzard. Essentially, Perks will serve as unique abilities tailored for each hero, allowing players to adapt and personalize their strategies accordingly.

Blizzard stated that you will have the ability to select various enhancements for your hero, offering fresh strategies either to secure your team’s win or to reverse a seemingly imminent loss.”

This version maintains the same meaning as the original, while using more natural and easy-to-read language.

How Overwatch 2 Perks work

In this game, your preferred hero gains two level-ups during each match. The initial level-up lets you select from a pair of minor enhancements, such as lowered cooldown times or minor passive abilities.

For instance, while playing as Torbjorn, you’re faced with decisions such as whether to repair teammates’ armor health using the Forge Hammer or reload your Rivet Gun ammo with Overload. Upon reaching the next level, you can opt for a significant Perk. In Torbjorn’s case, you can pick between placing your turret on walls and ceilings, or upgrading it to a powerful level 3 version instead.

You’ll get a chance to try these Perks starting from Season 15, available in both Quick Play and Competitive gaming options.
