Overwatch 2 gets Mystery Heroes Role Queue

In Overwatch 2, the Mystery Heroes Role Queue has been introduced as a fresh take on the traditional Mystery Heroes game mode. Rather than randomly receiving a character upon entering battle, players now have the option to join a queue based on their preferred role.

OW2 patch notes: Competitive Drives

In the patch notes for Overwatch 2, they’ve included details about Competitive Drives too. These events are temporary and exclusive to Competitive Play Role Queue. Successfully completing these Drives earns you extra Competitive Points and distinctive in-game items known as signatures. Signatures are essentially unique cosmetics that display your name prominently within the game, but they’re removed after a rank reset occurs.

As you triumph in matches, you accumulate points that move you closer to milestones called checkpoints. Here are the rewards for reaching these Competitive Drive milestones:

  1. 500 Competitive Points
  2. Signature
  3. 1000 Competitive Points
  4. Advanced signature
  5. 500 Competitive Points
  6. Elite signature

Flashpoint and Clash map changes

Regarding the changes in the map layout, the speed boost areas within Flashpoint rooms are now active for two seconds instead of just one.

As a fan, I’ve noticed an exciting change regarding the Fast Respawn feature in Clash: instead of instantly respawning after capturing a point, the defending team now enjoys shorter respawn times. Specifically, for every segment the attackers secure in the final capture zone, defenders get a 2-second reduction in their respawn time. This tweak promises to make the game more dynamic and strategic!
