Overwatch 2 fans create Ramyatta zine: “Over 70 pages of omnic yaoi!”

I just got my hands on this amazing zine called “Journey Together”! It’s a collection of art made by a bunch of super talented artists, and it’s all about Ramyatta – you know, Reinhardt and Ramattra from Overwatch 2. It’s a really sweet tribute to those two, and the art is incredible.

Overwatch 2 fans are incredibly creative, and recently a group of artists collaborated on a special project called the “Journey Together” zine. This fan-made publication focuses on the characters Ramattra and Zenyatta, showcasing artwork inspired by their stories.

The ‘Journey Together’ zine is a 70+ page collection of art created by 13 artists, all celebrating the relationship between Ramattra and Zenyatta. It features comics and illustrations of the characters, including their different Overwatch 2 skins and scenes from their past as monks. The artwork captures a wide range of emotions, from funny to heartfelt, and really highlights the creativity of Overwatch 2 fans. As a fun detail, the second-to-last page includes a nod to Zenyatta’s iconic “<3” voice line!

After the Ramyatta zine was released, fans showed their appreciation with lots of positive feedback online – through comments, likes, and shares. One person on X was even surprised to learn it was completely free, proving the project was created out of a genuine love for the pairing and the game, Overwatch 2, rather than for profit.

The account that first shared the news, shambalidottxt, explained they just wanted to make something delicious for everyone.

Ramyatta Week 2025

Overwatch 2 fans who enjoy the pairing of Ramattra and Mercy can look forward to Ramyatta Week, happening from December 14th to 20th. According to shambalidottxt, the event features two different sets of creative prompts, and you can find more details in the post below.

Ramattra and Zenyatta’s relationship in Overwatch 2

Ramattra and Zenyatta are both characters in Overwatch 2 – Ramattra plays the tank role, and Zenyatta provides support. They share a history, both having trained as monks at the Shambali Monastery. Following the Omnic Crisis, Ramattra learned about Aurora and journeyed there, becoming a monk under the guidance of Tekhartha Mondatta. Years later, Ramattra left the monastery and encountered Zenyatta. He then led Zenyatta to Shambali, hoping it would give Zenyatta a sense of purpose.

Over time, Ramattra’s beliefs began to clash with the teachings of the Shambali Monastery. This ultimately led him to lead the fight for his people as the head of Null Sector.

A new Overwatch 2 story moment showed Ramattra and Zenyatta meeting again at the base of a statue honoring Tekhartha Mondatta. Mondatta, the former leader of the Shambali Monastery, was killed by Widowmaker while advocating for peace between humans and robots.
