As a seasoned Overwatch 2 player with countless hours spent in the battlefield, I can’t help but feel relieved and impressed by the recent crackdown on cheaters. With over half a million accounts banned for using aimbots and wallhacks, it’s like Blizzard has finally taken the game back from the clutches of those who ruin the fun for everyone else.
The game also banned 40,000 accounts for grouping up with cheaters.

Overwatch 2 reporting and Streamer Protect updates
Hey there, fellow gamers! In the latest update, we’ve got an exciting new addition to the in-game scoreboard starting from Season 12. Now, it’ll be a breeze to manage both text and voice chat with teammates and opponents, making gaming more seamless than ever.
As a long-time Overwatch player with countless hours under my belt, I fully support this new update by Streamer Protect. For years, I’ve witnessed many players taking advantage of the Hide My Name feature for nefarious purposes such as causing disruption in games through secondary accounts. With this change, seasoned players like myself can use the tool honestly and fairly without worrying about abuse from others. Having completed the Unrelenting Hero challenge myself, I believe that only those who truly deserve it should have access to these features. This decision not only ensures a fair playing field but also promotes a more positive gaming environment for everyone involved. Kudos to Streamer Protect for taking a stand against abuse and fostering a community built on skill, sportsmanship, and integrity.
