The mystery drama Absentia, which is getting a lot of attention on Netflix, revolves around an FBI agent’s pursuit of a killer. Directed by Oded Ruskin and starring Stana Katic, Patrick Heusinger, Cara Theobold, and Matthew Le Nevez, the series originally premiered on Prime Video in 2017. Absentia centers on Emily Byrne (Katic), an FBI special agent who vanishes while tracking a famous serial killer in Boston and is presumed dead.
FBI agent Nick Durand discovers a lead in the case of his wife, Emily, who disappeared six years ago, and is shocked to find her still alive. However, Emily soon receives disturbing information about Nick’s current wife.

Viewers on IMDb have given the show a rating of 7.2 out of 10 based on more than 18,000 reviews. One user described Absentia as “outstanding,” adding that it was captivating and kept them eagerly anticipating each new episode – something they don’t often experience with other shows. They also praised actress Stana Katic’s performance.
Another viewer wrote that it was one of the best shows they’d seen in years and that they planned to rewatch it in a few years because they enjoyed it so much.
