OUTRANKERS announces end of service on February 27, 2026, just three months after launch

Okay, so this is a bummer, but Outrankers is shutting down. Deluxe Games launched it back in November of 2025, but unfortunately, it won’t be around for much longer. The official end date is February 27, 2026. It was a fun action game while it lasted, but it looks like that’s all she wrote.

OUTRANKERS’ reason for shutting down is due to its inability to deliver the desired quality

You might not know about this game, as it was only released in Japan. It generated a lot of excitement worldwide because it featured experienced developers from Capcom – including Yoshiki Okamoto, Noriyoshi Funamizu, and Ryo Nishitani – and original music by Tetsuya Komuro.

Thank you for playing #Outrankers! We’re announcing that the game’s service will end on February 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM (JST). Please see the details below for more information about the service termination schedule.

OUTRANKERS was an action game focused on quick, competitive 3v3 team fights. Set in a city destroyed 200 years in the future, players battled each other to collect a resource called Elpis.

The game played a lot like Pokémon Unite, but with a twist: three teams battled it out instead of just two. It also had an auto-play feature. A standout aspect was the character design – each character felt unique, with customizable skills that let players experiment with different ways to play.

Although OUTRANKERS had a great idea and was made by a popular team, it was never released worldwide and is now unavailable.

The game’s creators originally aimed to completely rethink competitive gaming. However, they now believe the way the game is currently structured prevents them from providing players with the high-quality experience and value they deserve.

Okay, so I was a little bummed to hear they stopped selling Diamonds and Premium Passes on January 26th, but thankfully we can still use any we already have! The good news is the game isn’t shutting down right away – we’ll have until February to play. And for anyone with leftover Diamonds after February 27, 2026, they’ve said they’ll have a way to request a refund, which is great!
