Outnumbered stars tease likelihood of full revival season

As a gamer with a heart for British sitcoms, I can hardly contain my excitement! The revival of Outnumbered, a show that has been a staple in my laughter-filled evenings, is not just a glimmer of hope but a beacon of joy!

The cast of Outnumbered has teased the likelihood of the show getting a full-on revival.

In May, it was revealed by the BBC that they would be reviving the Brockman family for a 2024 holiday special. The original actors – Tyger Drew-Honey, Daniel Roche, and Ramona Marquez – will reprise their roles as the adult offspring of Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner.

The actors haven’t filmed the special episode as of now, but they hinted to Radio Times that there hasn’t been any news about additional episodes, but they remain optimistic for a complete comeback of Outnumbered.

In simpler terms, Tyger, a former “Cuckoo” star, expressed that it’s absolutely plausible. He added there’s no logical basis for us to rule it out… We should always remember, nothing is impossible.

In response, her co-star Ramona mentioned, “It might be a somewhat altered production… Yet, such events occasionally occur, don’t they? We could return at a later time if that happens, so we’re open to the idea.

The BBC has recently hinted at a reunion of the Brockman family in their upcoming Christmas special, as they face difficult times together.

In a challenging situation, Sue and Pete bring together their entire family, including one grandchild, to attempt celebrating a classic holiday Christmas gathering.

“But fate, neighbours, hyenas and bus replacement services get in their way.”

Hugh Dennis playfully added: “Pete and Sue have moved to a smaller place, their kids are grown now, but I’m certain family gatherings will still be as lively and unpredictable as before.

The upcoming 40-minute episode is being crafted by the co-creators of “Outnumbered,” Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin. Originally, “Outnumbered” ran for five seasons, along with a special Christmas episode that marked its final broadcast in 2016.

Outnumbered’s Christmas special will air later this year on BBC One and the BBC iPlayer.
