Outlander’s Sam Heughan teases “favourite finale” for season 7 part 2
As a die-hard Outlander fan who has weathered countless storms of Droughtlander and embraced the Fraser clan as my own kin, I can hardly contain my excitement for the return of season 7, part 2. The tease from Sam Heughan about his favorite finale yet has me on the edge of my kilt, eagerly awaiting the unfolding drama.
Actor Sam Heughan from Outlander hinted at an exciting climax for Season 7, Part 2, expressing that he particularly enjoys this finale.
This week, the much-anticipated new episode of “Outlander” featuring Jamie and Claire Fraser will air, bringing us more love stories, intense dramas, and undeniably exciting battle sequences.
On last night’s (19th November) episode of “The One Show”, actor Sam representing Jamie spoke about the upcoming series: “We have several familiar faces returning, characters that fans can’t help but love to despise. Moreover, there’s a significant amount of turmoil ahead. I believe Jamie and Claire will encounter one of their most challenging trials in their relationship for quite some time.
“And then the finale as well, which is probably, I think, one of my favourite finales, it’s really dramatic. So much to look forward to in a short time, a couple of days!”
In simpler terms, Caitriona Balfe (the actress who plays Claire) mentioned that the production process can be challenging as they often shoot scenes outdoors, come rain, hail, or sunshine.
According to Sam, when you’re shooting movies during January in Scotland, the short days are challenging due to less sunlight, but also because of the rain, wind, and snow, which makes filming quite difficult.
Additionally, the pair discussed the fact that they had already completed filming all episodes for the eighth and concluding season. They elaborated that this process was emotionally taxing for several reasons.
Previously this year, Diana Gabaldon, writer of the “Outlander” book series, disclosed that the television show would conclude with a distinct finale. This decision was made because they are compressing the adaptation of the last three novels into a single, shorter season, one of which remains unwritten.
As a devoted gamer, I believe the community will find it acceptable, but let me clarify that this upcoming installment won’t bear a strong resemblance to Book 10. This is simply due to space constraints, so we should approach it with an open mind and expect fresh experiences instead of expecting a direct continuation.
In the United States, the series “Outlander” is aired on Starz, while in the UK, it streams via MGM+ on Amazon Prime Video Channels. The second half of season 7 will debut on November 22.
