Outlander’s Sam Heughan and Catriona Balfe mark show milestone

As a devoted Outlander fan who has journeyed through time and space alongside Jamie and Claire for over a decade, this news of their final table read together feels like the end of a beloved era. The tears have been flowing like the waters of Loch Ness as I prepare to bid farewell to these characters who have become an integral part of my life’s tapestry.

Actors Sam Heughan and Caitríona Balfe, who are known for their roles in Outlander, have shared an impressive achievement during filming of the series’ last season.

In the eighth season, which is soon to air, viewers will bid farewell to the beloved characters Jamie and Claire. And in a poignant moment, the actors portraying them shared their last script reading together, expressing their emotions.

On his Instagram account, Heughan shared a set of pictures, one of which featured him next to his fellow cast member from the premiere.

He posted, “Last review. Last episode. Last season. @Outlander_STARZ” with heart and Scottish flag emoji symbols.

Balfe also marked the occasion on her page, posting a video montage from the day.

In her post, she expressed gratitude after 11 years, 101 episodes, and a tremendous amount of affection, hard work, perspiration, and even the occasional pain (not forgetting a few drops of blood), she thanked fans, her co-stars like Heughan, as well as executive producers Maril Davis and Matthew B Roberts.

The work for the eighth season kicked off earlier this year, as confirmed by the show through a behind-the-scenes video featuring Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe reminiscing about the series.

Recently, the actor portraying Jamie Fraser took to social media to celebrate ten years since the show first aired. In his message to fans, he expressed gratitude by saying, “We wouldn’t exist without your support, so a big thank you to all the fans who have stood with us throughout the years.”

The second half of Season 7 will be broadcast ahead of the final season, specifically on November 22 this year.

The primary cast for this show includes Hermione Corfield, Jeremy Irvine, Harriet Slater, and Jamie Roy playing the principal roles.

In the United States, “Outlander” can be watched on Starz network, while in the UK, it streams via MGM+ on Amazon Prime Video Channels. The second part of season 7 will premiere on November 22.
