STARZ has released the final trailer for season 8 of Outlander, which will be the last season of the popular time-travel series.
For over ten years, the romance between Claire and Jamie has captivated viewers of the show Outlander. The series is celebrated for its strong female characters and is known as one of the earliest TV shows to tell a story primarily from a woman’s perspective. Many fans feel Outlander has changed how stories, particularly those adapted from books, are told on television.
The new trailer for Outlander season 8 gives fans a glimpse of what promises to be a deeply emotional goodbye. The preview showcases both joyful and heartbreaking scenes, including the return of beloved characters and long-awaited reunions. However, the trailer’s most impactful moment comes from a book detailing Jamie’s future death, suggesting the Frasers may have to accept that they can’t alter fate, despite past efforts to change history.
I’m so excited for the new season of Outlander! It’s great to see Jamie and Claire back at Fraser’s Ridge, but things aren’t as peaceful as they hoped. It turns out the war they tried to avoid has followed them home. While they were gone, Fraser’s Ridge really flourished and became a thriving community, which is awesome. But even with all the good changes, there’s definitely trouble brewing, and I can’t wait to see what happens!
The Fraser family faces tough choices as they struggle to hold onto their home and remain united. Old family secrets begin to emerge, threatening to tear them apart. Though the fight for independence is over, they now face a new battle to protect what they have and the bonds they share.
Season 8 of Outlander features returning cast members Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, John Bell, and David Berry, alongside newcomers Charles Vandervaart and Izzy Meikle-Small, with Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan. The season is executive produced by Matthew B. Roberts, Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, Toni Graphia, Luke Schelhaas, Andy Harries, Jim Kohlberg, Balfe, and Heughan. Sony Pictures Television produces the series.
Based on the popular books by Diana Gabaldon – which have sold over 50 million copies worldwide – Outlander has become a huge success. The series appeals to a wide audience, combining historical drama, romance, science fiction, and exciting adventure into a single, captivating story.
You can watch seasons 1-7 of Outlander on the STARZ app. Season 8 will begin airing on March 6, 2026, with new episodes released each Friday.
