OutKast, The White Stripes and More To Be Inducted Into 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

For this year, seven acts have been selected for the performer category, with Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, and OutKast being newcomers to the nominations. Cyndi Lauper and The White Stripes are returning nominees, having received recognition before. Soundgarden, who were previously nominated twice, will now officially be inducted.
In 2025, Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon are set to receive the Rock Hall’s Musical Influence Award. Meanwhile, the Musical Excellence Award is being presented posthumously to Thom Bell, a pioneering Philadelphia soul producer; Nicky Hopkins, an accomplished English pianist and organist; and Carol Kaye, a prominent bass guitarist. Lastly, record producer and executive Lenny Waronker will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
According to Billboard’s latest report, this is the sixth consecutive year that the Rock Hall has inducted at least one rap group, and it’s the fourth year in a row that at least four female acts are included in the induction class. Cyndi Lauper, Missy Elliot, Salt-N-Pepa, and Meg White from The White Stripes are among these women being honored this time around.
