On Sunday evening, it was noticed that Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro exited the Vanity Fair Oscars party as a pair.

The party sightings come amid claims that the actor is ‘quietly’ dating Monica.

He opted out of walking the star-studded red carpet at the Oscars ceremony with the actress.

Just a short while following their second joint visit to the Bridge Theatre in two months, which was their public engagement of that duration, a source hinted that the couple has been discreetly spending time together romantically as of late.

According to a source familiar with the pair, they’ve been quite private and have been enjoying peaceful moments together.

In a different wording, the lead role is played by Brody, portraying a Hungarian architect of Jewish descent who emigrates to America after enduring the Holocaust. The grand historical drama chronicles László Tóth’s struggle to bring his artistic ambitions to life, despite clashing with the shallow wishes of his affluent patron (Pearce).

In the nominations, “Wicked” matched with 10 others, earning nods in categories such as Best Picture, Actress (for Cynthia Erivo), and Supporting Actress (for Ariana Grande).

The highly successful stage production is a rendition based on just the initial part of another musical with the same title. This innovative prequel to “The Wizard of Oz” features Erivo portraying Elphaba, who will eventually be known as the Wicked Witch of the West, and Grande as Galinda Upland, who later transforms into Glinda the Good.

Among the other nominated pictures are Anora, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Chapter Two, I’m Still Here, The Nickel Boys, and The Substance.

As an enthusiastic film fan, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the Best Actor category at the Oscars, but last week’s Screen Actors Guild Awards shook up my expectations! Timothée Chalamet, who I’d been rooting for all along in his Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown,” delivered a surprising and exhilarating win. This unexpected triumph has only fueled my excitement for the Oscars even more!

Before that victory, it seemed as though Brody was the front-runner due to his wins at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards, the BAFTAs, the Golden Globes, and the Critics Choice Movie Awards for best actor.

Her compelling portrayal earned her best actress accolades from prestigious events such as the Critics Choice Awards and the Golden Globes, not to mention several critics’ organizations.

Winning at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards a week prior to the Oscars implies that she might be well-positioned to win an Oscar, having been nominated for the first time in this event.

Mikey Madison, the Anora star known for portraying an impulsive adult dancer who unexpectedly weds the son of a wealthy Russian businessman, received widespread praise and recognition from various critics’ groups at the start of the series.

After winning the BAFTA for best lead actress, her odds of success greatly improved. This was further solidified when she claimed the Independent Spirit Award in the category for outstanding gender-neutral lead performance.

However, a cloud of controversy hangs over Miss Torres. A clip emerged from 17 years ago, showcasing her in a blackface portrayal for a comedy sketch on a Brazilian TV series. This resurfaced in January, stirring up quite the buzz.

Nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category are Monica Barbaro for A Complete Unknown, Ariana Grande for Wicked, Felicity Jones for The Brutalist, Isabella Rossellini for Conclave, and Zoe Saldaña for Emilia Pérez. In simpler terms, these five women have been recognized for their exceptional performances in these respective films.

It seems that Saldaña is currently the top contender following a series of victories at the Golden Globes, BAFTA Awards, SAG Awards, and Critics Choice Awards.

However, certain initial accolades had voting timelines that ended before the Gascón controversy arose, possibly affecting the votes of those who might have been put off by Emilia Pérez entirely due to this issue.

It appears that the category for best supporting actor is the most likely to be predicted correctly, with Kieran Culkin’s consistent victories for his role in “A Real Pain” making him the front-runner.

Additionally nominated are Yura Borisov (for the role of Anora), Edward Norton (in A Complete Unknown), Guy Pearce (in The Brutalist), and Jeremy Strong (in The Apprentice. )

Initially, Emilia Pérez appeared to be the front-runner among picture nominees. However, Gascon’s controversial posts may jeopardize her chances of winning.

Anora, the film that received the Palme d’Or, saw a late surge in support with victories for Best Picture at both the Directors Guild of America Awards and the Producers Guild of America Awards. These accolades are often seen as strong indicators by Oscar predictors, increasing its chances of success during the awards season. Additionally, its win at the Independent Spirit Awards also contributed to its momentum.

As a devoted film enthusiast, it appears that the top contender for the ‘Best Director’ award is shaping up to be a thrilling three-way race among Sean Baker (Anora), Brady Corbet (The Brutalist) and Jacques Audiard (Emilia Pérez).

2021’s original song category includes two songs by Emilia Pérez – El Mal and Mi Camino, the new Elton John song titled Never Too Late (from the documentary of the same name about him), a song called Like a Bird from Sing Sing, and Diane Warren’s latest effort, The Journey.
