Orphan 3 officially in the works from Dark Castle Entertainment

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of thrilling experiences under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming “Orphan 3”! Having survived countless virtual nightmares, I have developed an insatiable appetite for the chills and suspense that these movies deliver.

Following the release of “Orphan: First Kill” (also known as “Orphan 2”) in theaters and streaming platforms last August 2022, speculations about a potential third film arose among fans. In December 2023, it was officially announced that an “Orphan 3” is under development. Now, it’s confirmed that the third installment of this series is indeed being made.

Dark Castle Entertainment, the production company responsible for the initial two films (“Orphan” and “Orphan: First Kill”), is back on board with David Coggeshall penning the script and William Brent Bell taking up directorial duties. Previously, Coggeshall wrote the screenplay for the second movie, while Bell handled directing that very film.

As reported by Variety, Dark Castle Entertainment, in collaboration with Alex Mace’s Gnosis Films, will be producing “Orphan 3”. David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who previously wrote the screenplay for “Orphan” and co-wrote the story for “Orphan: First Kill”, has now joined as an executive producer. Furthermore, Lionsgate is handling international sales and preparing to debut this film at the American Film Market later this week.

At present, details about the plot are under wraps, but it has been confirmed that one actor will feature in this upcoming horror movie. Notably, Isabelle Fuhrman, who previously played Esther in the initial two films of the series, is set to reprise her role in Orphan 3. She was last seen in the first installment of the Western epic saga, Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1. You can look forward to seeing her again as Diamond Kittredge in both Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2 and Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 3.
