Orlando Bloom Steps Back as Katy Perry Shines on Blue Origin Space Trip

On Monday morning, Orlando Bloom seemed to prefer a more discreet presence as he observed his partner, singer Katy Perry, embarking on an historic, all-female space mission.

40-year-old pop superstar took part in an exhilarating 11-minute suborbital journey alongside six other notable women, including Lauren Sanchez, aged 55 and engaged to Jeff Bezos. During this flight, the team’s screams could clearly be heard on the broadcast.

The wealthy entrepreneur from Amazon is driving the initiative aimed at sending greater numbers of individuals to space, with a vision to make it more attainable in the long run.

The spacecraft, designed for business use, took Perry, Sanchez, Gayle King (aged 70), Kieranne Flynn (57, a filmmaker), NASA scientist Aisha Bowe (38), and activist Amanda Nguyen (33) on a short trip without gravity. This ride provided them joy and excitement.

At 9:30 am Eastern Time in West Texas, the rocket’s solitary BE-3PM engine ignited, propelling the crew towards space with a powerful thrust.

The engine, which combusted a blend of liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen, exerted approximately 50,000 kilograms of thrust, leaving behind only steam or water vapor.

In a matter of just minutes, the rocket reached speeds surpassing 2,000 miles an hour, which is more than double the speed of sound.

Watching them ascend into space was a moving spectacle, as Bloom stood there beside their little girl, Daisy, who was just four years old.

Oprah joined the father-daughter pair in observing as her close friend Gayle ascended aloft, causing Oprah to shed tears of emotion at the sight.

Despite being a significant figure, Orlando Bloom seemed to avoid the limelight during the major event, with not many photographs of him circulating. Many spectators expressed their curiosity on social media, questioning his whereabouts with phrases like “Where in the world is Orlando?

Upon exiting the spacecraft, she enthusiastically planted a kiss on the earth and proudly displayed the daisy she’d taken along during her journey.

Prior to Perry’s departure, she became emotional during a morning interview when she was queried about any message she might have for her loved ones.

‘My message is that I love them and I am so full of love,’ she said, wiping tears from her eyes.
