Original Buffy Stars’ Kids Audition for Reboot: Shocking Revelations Inside!

Anticipation is gradually growing for the upcoming revival, and it’s been confirmed that she will take on the role of the new slayer, guided by Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Buffy. However, it’s worth noting that she wasn’t the sole contender who bid for a part in the series.

In a surprising turn of events, Gellar informed Alyson Hannigan that some children of original series actors had auditioned for the new show. The actor hinted, “I know someone from the show whose child attempted to join,” without disclosing identities. “I know a few people from the show whose kids showed up,” Gellar said. Hannigan humorously chimed in, “Let’s hope it wasn’t one of my children!” The actor shares two daughters with Alexis Denisof, whom she encountered on the set of Buffy.

So far, details about the plot of the upcoming Buffy sequel series are scant, but it’s been confirmed that Buffy will be mentoring a new slayer – an introverted high school student. Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao is set to direct the pilot episode, with Nora and Lilla Zuckerman handling the writing duties. All three women, along with country music legend Dolly Parton, who also produced the original series, will be producing this new project as well.

There are yet more roles to be filled in the upcoming reboot, and it could be that the children of the original Buffy cast members might join the show. Moreover, there’s a possibility that Alyson Hannigan could return as Willow, a formidable witch and Buffy’s closest friend. Notably, the original series’ showrunner is stepping down following workplace misconduct allegations.

Gellar And Hannigan Are Still Friends

Even after the show ended, my bond with Hannigan continued to thrive. Lately, we’ve joined forces once more, this time to spread awareness about meningitis. We’re collaborating with Ask2BSure, a campaign advocating for vaccinations against this disease. I don’t feel that our friendship necessitates me calling you daily, Gellar shared. Instead, we cherish the moments when our paths cross and value the shared memories we’ve built over time.

In my life, there’s never been a tough moment without a message from Alyson. I’m not saying that negatively. Instead, a friendship is built on shared importance, and that’s what keeps us connected. We don’t let birthdays pass by unnoticed, nor the significant ones. Those meaningful moments are what make a friendship endure over time. It’s not about scheduling daily or weekly get-togethers like an exercise routine.
