Following a tragic shooting at Bondi Beach on Sunday afternoon that left at least 16 people dead, Hollywood celebrities have taken to social media to express their condolences and share tributes.
The shocking attack happened at a famous Australian landmark while a large crowd was celebrating the first day of Hanukkah at a Chanukah by the Sea event.
Naveed Akram, 24, and his father, Sajid Akram, 50, reportedly opened fire on people below from a footbridge using powerful, military-style weapons. The victims included local residents, tourists, and families.

The talk show host recently returned from a two-week trip to Australia, where they enjoyed a walk along Bondi Beach and felt a sense of freedom and relaxation.

NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon also confirmed at least 29 people had been injured.
One of the gunmen was also shot dead and the second is in hospital under police guard.


On Sunday night, after a National Security Committee meeting, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese addressed the public.
‘There is no place for this hate, violence and terrorism in our nation,’ he said.
To be direct, we will eliminate this. Despite this terrible act of violence and hatred, a time of national unity will arise, with all Australians standing together in support of their Jewish neighbors.
A child died at Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick. Health Minister Ryan Park stated that four patients were moved to the hospital.
Victims are being identified.
Alex Kleytman tragically died while saving his wife of five decades, she told the Daily Mail.
Larisa Kleytman, a grandmother who has been married for fifty years, and her husband traveled from the Sydney suburb of Matraville to join other Jewish people in celebrating Hanukkah.
She said he was shot in the back of the head while trying to shield her.


Originally from Ukraine, Mrs. Kleytman and her husband immigrated to Australia and have since raised two children and now enjoy eleven grandchildren.
A Rabbi who promoted the Hannukah event at is also among the dead.
Rabbi Eli Schlanger, originally from Britain and a new father, was shot and injured when gunmen fired into a crowd on Sunday evening.
People in the Bondi Jewish community have confirmed that a father of five was among those killed. His wife, Chaya, was also reportedly hurt in the attack.
Several of their children were at the event, but thankfully, they all appear to be unharmed.
