At the start of this year, I found myself in a harrowing situation where I came perilously close to losing my life due to a severe case of septic shock that had ravaged my vital organs. I was compelled to share this experience candidly, hoping it might serve as a reminder of the fragility and resilience of human life.
She took to Instagram to lay bare her terrifying health scare which began with tonsillitis during a vacation in Thailand for New Year.
She expressed that she endured intense agony and struggled with significant confusion prior to being admitted to the critical care unit.
Regarding going back to work following that difficult experience, Ashley mentioned: ‘The filming process took a toll on my body more than I was used to. However, I needed to put an end to self-doubt and realize, it’s okay for me to feel the way I do.’
As I gracefully navigate through my day in these high-heeled stilettos and snug latex skirt, I take pride knowing that every step I take is a testament to the dedication and effort I’ve poured into my craft. When I reflect on this season, I can’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction for making it here.

As I reflect and recuperate from the initial weeks of 2024, the single word that comes to mind is gratitude.
During my winter vacation from late December through New Year’s, a simple case of tonsillitis escalated into a severe condition known as septic shock. This dangerous complication spread to and impacted multiple organs in my body.
‘I am grateful that my health has improved despite what we had initially been told.’
The actress credited boyfriend Paul Forman, 29, for being ‘unconditionally’ by her side.
She mentioned: ‘You eased my anxieties and stayed by my side during ambulance rides, three foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, intimidating ERs, numerous scans, tests, and injections, unbearable pain, and immense confusion – all while we were far from home on the other side of the world without familiar faces.’
‘I love you Paul. More than I can ever say.’
Ashley later expressed gratitude towards every doctor and critical care nurse who worked diligently, before wrapping up by saying: ‘I debated whether to reveal what’s transpired because I’m still navigating my recovery process… but now I realize I’ve successfully passed through the most challenging phase.’
