Yusuke Murata, creator of the Weekly Young Jump adaptation of One-Punch Man, announced some less than ideal news about the webcomic’s continuation. The series will take a hiatus lasting two months starting from July 17, 2025. Murata chose not to disclose the specific reasons behind this two-month break, merely mentioning that it was due to various unspecified situations.

One-Punch Man Manga Is Taking 2 Months Off Due to ‘Various Circumstances’

Murata shared an update about the “One Punch Man” comic in Weekly Young Jump. Due to some unexpected situations, the next chapter won’t be out until July 17th (Thursday). He regrets any inconvenience this may cause and asks for your patience until then.

Back in 2024, the editorial team at Weekly Young Jump shared similar news, explaining that the delay was due to Murata making necessary adjustments and preparations. While it’s disheartening, I, along with many other fans, are rallying behind Murata, understanding that his well-being is crucial. We eagerly await the return of our beloved series, knowing that it will be worth the wait!

The digital version of the manga “One-Punch Man,” published weekly in Young Jump, is a spin-off from the webcomic originally created by One. Prior to working on “One-Punch Man,” Yusuke Murata worked on the “Eyeshield 21” manga with author Riichiro Inagaki. Additionally, Murata has illustrated special comic covers for various Japanese Marvel releases, including issues #4 of “Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows,” #3 of “Spider-Island,” and “Spider-Verse.

This October marks the long-awaited return of “One-Punch Man” for its new season, six years after Season 2. Despite the mixed reviews on Season 2, J.C. Staff is back for this fresh installment. Fans have been vocal about a controversial action scene that sparked controversy, but it didn’t deter the promise of an exciting new anime.
