One Piece has cast Joe Manganiello and Lera Abova in key roles for season 2

As a die-hard fan of One Piece since its inception, I can say that the anticipation for the second season has reached new heights! The casting announcements, particularly Joe Mangiello as Crocodile and Lera Abova as Nico Robin, have sent waves of excitement throughout the fandom. It’s a dream come true to see such talented actors join the cast of this beloved series.

As a dedicated gamer, I’m all geared up for the second season of Netflix’s “One Piece”! Filming’s going strong in South Africa right now, and the excitement surrounding this show is picking up speed like never before. “One Piece” has managed to win over both long-term fans and newbies alike with its spot-on adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s original manga, preserving the fun and optimistic essence that’s made it a classic. Last we left Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his motley pirate crew, they were embarking on their quest to discover the fabled One Piece treasure in the Grand Line. Let me tell you, the buzz for season 2 is off the charts!

And now, we’ve got some exciting new One Piece updates! According to What’s On Netflix, both Joe Mangiello (True Blood) and Lera Abova (Anna) have joined the cast of the series for its second season. This news came directly from Netflix’s Tudum site, which republished a preview for season 2 this week that included the new cast members. Their names have since been removed from the Tudum article, but the internet remembers!

In addition, it has been confirmed who their opponents will be! Mangiello is set to portray Mr. 0, also known as Crocodile, one of the seven Sea Pirate Warlords. Since Luffy’s quest to ascend as the next pirate king involves confronting many of these warlords, it’s likely that Mangiello will be a significant antagonist in season 2.

Regarding Abova, she is set to portray Miss All Sunday, or Nico Robin, a fresh addition to the Straw Hat gang in the comic series. As the crew expands during season 2, it’s bound to be thrilling to witness how the dynamics on the Going Merry might change with the introduction of several new prominent characters.

It appears that the Netflix announcements regarding casting were intended for Netflix’s Geeked Week festivities; Mangiello himself is one of the event hosts. This suggests that the information may have been released prematurely on Tudum, but it doesn’t diminish the excitement! Let’s hope for an official, thrilling announcement about it soon.
