One Piece gets renewed for season 3 as first look at season 2 drops

Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece has received some major updates.

At this past weekend’s yearly One Piece Day event in Japan (even though the actual anniversary falls on July 22nd), it was confirmed that the series will indeed proceed with a new season, marking its third.

Previously holding the position of executive producer, Ian Stokes will now take on the role of co-showrunner, working side by side with Joe Tracz. It’s important to note that Tracz has been partnering with Matt Owens as season 2 co-showrunner since Steven Maeda stepped down following season 1.
