Fans of the series had a great year with a special café and lots of new collectibles. Now, they have even more to be excited about – a new partnership with Nike is coming later this year.
According to Sole Retriever, Nike is planning to release three new Air Max Plus sneakers inspired by the iconic Devil Fruits from the anime One Piece: the Gomu Gomu no Mi, the Mera Mera no Mi, and the Ope Ope no Mi. Although official images haven’t been revealed yet, the shoes are expected to match the colors of each fruit. The One Piece x Nike Air Max Plus collection is set to launch in Fall 2026 at Nike stores and select retailers. They will be available in men’s sizes for $180 per pair.
Nike Collaborates With One Piece to Launch New Devil Fruit Sneaker Collection
I’ve been following this franchise’s recent moves, and this is their second big sneaker collaboration. They did one before, and it was really cool – shoes for both adults and kids, plus hoodies themed around the most powerful pirates, like Blackbeard and Whitebeard, and even the Red Hair Pirates crew. The whole thing came in special collector’s boxes with artwork of the Grand Line, which was a nice touch.
The upcoming collaboration between One Piece and Nike isn’t just about shoes. It will also include a collection of clothing like jerseys, t-shirts, and hats designed to match the sneakers. These items will let fans create outfits inspired by the powers of popular characters like Monkey D. Luffy, Portgas D. Ace, and Trafalgar Law. This isn’t Nike’s first anime collaboration; they previously released shoes based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime in 2025.
This latest news follows a pattern of exciting collaborations for the series. In August 2025, a collection of smartwatches featuring designs inspired by Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro was released worldwide. Before that, the brand brought back six popular T-shirt designs from the original 1999 anime series. But a major event in 2025 was the opening of the official One Piece Café in Los Angeles, giving fans a unique experience with themed food and exclusive merchandise.
2026 looks to be a big year for collectors, especially fans of Tony Tony Chopper! A new collection of Chopper plush toys will be released in March 2026. Bandai Spirits, the company making these collectibles, has also announced they’re working on a detailed S.H.Figuarts figure of Luffy.
This year will bring changes for the One Piece anime. After a short break, the show will return in April with the exciting “Elbaf” arc. But instead of releasing new episodes every week, One Piece will switch to a seasonal format, producing around 26 episodes annually.
