The ongoing story is uncovering details about the God Valley Incident, and with it, more information about the most powerful pirates in the series. We’re finally seeing the strength of the legendary members of the Roger Pirates and the Rocks Pirates in their prime. Some, like Whitebeard and Kaido, are familiar characters, while others, including the infamous Rocks D. Xebec, are being introduced as key figures from this historic time.
God Valley is where the most powerful pirates from the time of Rocks D. Xebec are battling it out, letting fans finally see who’s the strongest. The recent chapters of *One Piece* show them fighting each other, as well as the God’s Knights and the World Government, and their power is truly overwhelming. These pirates all have incredibly strong Haki, and many also wield dangerous Devil Fruit abilities.
John Has Been Known as a Legendary Pirate Since Thriller Bark
While not the strongest member of the Rocks Pirates, Captain John is a well-known figure to many fans. He first appeared as a zombie in the Thriller Bark arc and was a prominent figure during the time of Xebec, though he didn’t maintain his power in the present day. Today, he’s most famous for collecting one of the largest treasures in the world of *One Piece*.
John hasn’t had many opportunities to demonstrate his strength in current events, but he’s been featured prominently in past storylines. Because of this focus, along with being introduced early on and once being compared to Shiki by Sengoku, it’s clear John is more significant than characters like Marlon, Barbel, Stussy, and Streusen.
Silver Axe Kyo Rivaled the Power of Shiki the Golden Lion
Silver Axe Kyo is a newcomer to the pirate world, but he’s quickly established himself as an incredibly powerful figure. He’s a former gangster known for being cold and merciless, and the full extent of his abilities remains a mystery beyond his impressive strength and skill with his axe. As with many famous characters in *One Piece*, Kyo’s reputation is the best measure of his power.
According to Sengoku, Kyo is as strong as Shiki. This makes sense, considering the flashback to God Valley showed they were rivals during their time with the Rocks Pirates. Fans are eager to see a direct comparison of their abilities before the story returns to the present day in *One Piece*.
Kaido Ate His Devil Fruit During the Events of God Valley
Before Luffy unlocked his Gear Fifth powers, Kaido appeared unbeatable in direct fights. However, he wasn’t nearly as powerful during the time of Rocks D. Xebec; Kaido wasn’t even the strongest pirate in the Rocks crew back then. Even though he was already a skilled Haki user, Kaido hadn’t eaten his Devil Fruit yet before the battle at God Valley.
Before eating the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu, Kaido was probably less powerful than Kyo, John, and Gloriosa. But after gaining the power of the Azure Dragon, he became strong enough to eventually become one of the Yonko. The fact that he obtained his Devil Fruit by defeating Linlin shows how skilled Young Kaido was as a fighter.
Scopper Gaban is the Third-Strongest Member of the Roger Pirates
The series *One Piece* has frequently drawn comparisons between Gol D. Roger and his three most trusted crew members: Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji. Considering how he’s been presented in the current Elbaf Arc, it’s clear that Scopper Gaban was only slightly less powerful than Silvers Rayleigh. As a key member of the Roger Pirates, Gaban wasn’t just the ship’s navigator; he was also the third strongest fighter on the crew.
Gaban doesn’t have the powers of a Devil Fruit, but he’s incredibly strong thanks to his mastery of Haki. Even in his old age, his advanced Conqueror’s Haki is powerful enough to defeat strong opponents like the members of God’s Knights. Saint Sommers was easily defeated by Gaban, and Gunko only managed to win by using Gaban’s son as a hostage.
Silvers Rayleigh Possessed the Strength of a Yonko in His Prime
Silvers Rayleigh is consistently shown to be among the most powerful characters in *One Piece*. Even as an old man, he fought equally with Admiral Kizaru. He then spent two years training Luffy, dramatically improving his strength from below Pacifista level to being as strong as Doflamingo. Throughout the story, it’s been emphasized that Rayleigh was even more formidable in his youth.
During the time of Xebec, Silvers Rayleigh was the third most powerful Haki user in the pirate world, serving as Gol D. Roger’s first mate. Even without a Devil Fruit, his incredible skill with all forms of Haki made him nearly unbeatable. He was so powerful that, during the God Valley Incident, he single-handedly rescued Shakuyaku from the seemingly unstoppable God’s Knights.
Shiki the Golden Lion Has Long Been Known as a Rival to Gol D. Roger
Shiki, also known as the Golden Lion, was the most powerful member of Rocks D. Xebec’s crew who didn’t become one of the Four Emperors. Though he appeared weakened when introduced in *One Piece Film: Strong World*, it was revealed he was a major rival of Gol D. Roger. The recent flashback to the God Valley arc is now showing fans what Shiki was like in his prime.
I’m absolutely fascinated by Shiki! He seriously believed he could take over the world, and honestly, with a power level so close to Roger’s, you can see why! The fact that he once fought *both* Garp and Sengoku simultaneously is mind-blowing. But what really sets him apart from Roger, in my opinion, is his Devil Fruit – the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi. Being able to fly and control anything non-living with a touch? That’s an incredible advantage, and it makes him a truly unique and dangerous opponent.
Charlotte Linlin Has Always Been the Strongest Female Pirate in the World
When Rocks D. Xebec was a major power, Charlotte Linlin (later known as Big Mom) was at the peak of her strength and arguably more dangerous than she is in the current story of *One Piece*—perhaps only rivaled by Imu. Linlin is incredibly skilled in all types of Haki and possesses one of the most powerful Devil Fruits in the series. This fruit, the Soru Soru no Mi, allows her to manipulate souls, taking them from others to create loyal “Homies” who fight for her.
Big Mom was incredibly strong, possibly surpassed only by Roger and Xebec during their time. She was already a notorious pirate before joining the Rocks Pirates, and later became one of the Four Emperors. Within the Rocks crew, she held a high position – Kaido only managed to steal her Devil Fruit, the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu, by ambushing her. Even in her old age, it took the combined power of Eustass Kid and Trafalgar Law, along with a lot of luck, to defeat her.
Edward Newgate Would Become the Second-Strongest Pirate in the World After God Valley
At the start of the story *One Piece*, Edward Newgate, better known as Whitebeard, was considered the world’s strongest pirate. He earned this reputation after years of being a powerful figure, having held other important titles before. Earlier in his career, during the time of Xebec, Whitebeard was the second-in-command of the fearsome Rocks Pirates. After the Rocks Pirates were defeated, he became the second most powerful pirate globally, surpassed only by Gol D. Roger.
Newgate is incredibly skilled in all forms of Haki and possesses the Gura Gura no Mi, widely considered the most powerful Devil Fruit in the world of *One Piece*. This fruit allows him to generate earthquakes with the potential to cause global devastation. At his peak, Newgate was a match for Roger, and he also fought equally with both Garp and Sengoku. Therefore, it’s no surprise he easily defeated the God’s Knights during the God Valley flashback and immediately joined Rocks in his battle against Imu.
Gol D. Roger is the Most Legendary Pirate in All of One Piece
From the very start of *One Piece*, Gol D. Roger was presented as the most powerful pirate ever. Although his personality wasn’t what fans expected, he’s lived up to his reputation as an incredibly strong fighter. Roger skillfully used all types of Haki and consistently battled against powerful opponents like Whitebeard, Sengoku, and Garp. He was the only pirate captain who could truly compete with Rocks D. Xebec.
Gol D. Roger, the legendary Pirate King who discovered the ultimate treasure, the One Piece, had the highest bounty of anyone in the series before his death. He was so powerful that even pirates like Whitebeard, Big Mom, and Kaido only became truly dominant after he died of natural causes – none of them could ever hope to beat him in a fight. This is especially impressive considering that all three of these future Emperors of the Sea had Devil Fruit powers, while Roger didn’t.
Rocks D. Xebec is the Strongest Pirate in One Piece History
Rocks D. Xebec, the pirate who directly challenged the World Government’s leader Imu, is considered the strongest pirate in the entire world of *One Piece*, and especially during his time. It’s unknown if he had any special powers from a Devil Fruit, but it doesn’t matter, because his Haki was incredibly powerful – surpassing everyone else’s. Before even reaching his peak, Rocks managed to kill an Admiral and break down the Gates of Justice.
During the battle at God’s Valley, Rocks effortlessly overcame many of the God’s Knights. This posed such a serious threat to the World Government that even Imu had to intervene directly. We’ve also learned that Rocks was ultimately defeated only when Roger and Garp joined forces.
