One of this year’s most underrated horror movies is coming to Netflix in August
I, a dedicated gamer and horror movie enthusiast, have had the pleasure of experiencing a wide range of films in the genre, from critically acclaimed classics to obscure indie productions. And while it’s true that Tarot received a less-than-stellar reception from both critics and audiences, I believe this PG-13 horror flick is an enjoyable and entertaining choice for those seeking a fun and engaging watch.
Although it received poor reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and audiences didn’t seem to enjoy it much with only a 18% score, in my opinion, the movie “Tarot” was an enjoyable, lighthearted PG-13 horror film that would be perfect for teenagers during a sleepover or a cozy rainy day at home. Admittedly, it might not have been worth the cost of going to the theater and buying concessions. However, if you already have a Netflix subscription, I strongly recommend giving “Tarot” a try as a new release option for any night you’re looking to unwind and watch a movie.
As a dedicated horror movie enthusiast with a soft spot for Sony Pictures, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with fellow fans. This past May saw the terrifying release of a new Sony horror film in cinemas. Given my past experiences with Sony’s chilling productions, I knew it was only a matter of time before this masterpiece graced our screens once more – this time on Netflix.
As a seasoned film critic with over two decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of horror movies that revolve around a group of friends being picked off one by one. But “Tarot,” with its unique twist on the genre, left me genuinely intrigued and entertained.
Using a straightforward narrative, convincing acting, and impressive monster creations, “Tarot” is an enjoyable and swiftly moving film experience. Although it may not stand out as uniquely original or iconic amongst this year’s horrifying offerings, such as “Longlegs,” “The First Omen,” and “MaXXXine,” I would recommend giving it a watch for the captivating monster designs alone!
If you can’t bear the thought of waiting until August 1 for “Tarot” to be available on Netflix, consider buying or renting it right away through Video On Demand. Alternatively, you could opt for a DVD or Blu-ray purchase instead.
