In the UK, the famous thriller “The Silence of the Lambs,” featuring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins, has found a new platform for streaming.
In 1991, a film was released, sharing its title with Thomas Harris’s book. This movie tells the story of FBI agent Clarice Starling, portrayed by Jodie Foster, who embarks on a mission to capture a notorious serial killer known as Buffalo Bill. During her pursuit, she seeks the assistance of the incarcerated psychiatrist, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, played by Anthony Hopkins.
The horror-thriller penned by Ted Tally and helmed by Jonathan Demme can currently be streamed in the UK on BBC iPlayer. However, note that its stay is temporary as it will be removed from the platform on September 16.

The praise for it is clearly demonstrated through its high approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, sitting at a remarkable 95% based on 154 critic’s reviews. Interestingly, its audience score mirrors this, having been rated by over 250,000 people.

The Detroit Free Press noted that throughout the film, Demme manages to evoke more terror than multiple Friday the 13th films, not by depicting the horrifying event itself, but by capturing the terrified expressions on people’s faces. Meanwhile, Vulture described it as surprisingly impactful.
