Back in the years 2013 to 2016, this series unfolded. Here’s a gist of what it was about: A connection from Spector’s past unearthed some intriguing leads for Gibson, but it also stirred up Spector in a way that could potentially compromise our ongoing investigation.

As Gibson moves forward with riskier strategies than before, Spector seems to encroach further into her personal space. The nearer Gibson gets to apprehending him, the more intrusive Spector becomes.

In 2018, Dornan acknowledged that it was Allan Cubitt who persisted to secure his casting as Spector.

He was given a role in “The Fall” by him, and he had to put up quite a struggle to secure it, as he later remembered. That event made a massive impact on his career; he will always be grateful to him for it.

Previously, when the show concluded in 2016, the actor shared his thoughts about leaving the series. He spoke candidly with Digital Spy and other media outlets, saying: “The role holds great significance for me, and I cherish the character I played. The team has grown into a close-knit family over four and a half years, so it’s a mix of joy and sadness.

“It’s like a support blanket that someone’s taking away from you – quite abruptly!”

Additionally to the two principal characters, The Fall also includes John Lynch from Blue Lights, Aisling Franciosi known for Black Narcissus, Niamh McGrady who is recognized in Holby City, Stuart Graham hailing from Vera, Bronagh Waugh of Unforgotten fame, and Archie Panjabi best known for her work on Doctor Who.

You can now stream “The Fall” on Disney+. Additionally, you can find this series on Amazon Prime Video and BBC iPlayer as well.

The debut print issue of Digital Spy’s magazine, “British Comedy Legends,” is available for purchase! Grab a copy from your local newsstand or buy it online for only £3.99.
