A sequel to the critically acclaimed and popular animated film, The Mitchells vs the Machines, is officially in the works and expected to start filming early next year. The original movie was a major success for Netflix and even earned an Oscar nomination.
Guillermo Martinez and JP Sans will co-direct the next installment. Martinez was the head of story for the original Mitchells movie, and Sans recently co-directed this year’s The Bad Guys 2, according to Variety.
The Molyneux sisters Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin are on board to pen the screenplay.
