‘One last hurrah!’ Ariana Grande reveals her upcoming arena tour will be her last as she hopes to prioritise other passions

Ariana Grande has announced that her next tour, Eternal Sunshine, will likely be her last for a while. It’s set to begin next year.

Ariana Grande, 32, has shared that her pop career has consumed her life, but she’s now starting to focus on her other interests.

Ariana said she’s committed to making the tour amazing, viewing it as a final, celebratory experience before taking a break from touring internationally.

During an appearance on the Good Hang with Amy Poehler podcast, the Wicked actress expressed her enthusiasm for an upcoming, limited tour, but suggested it might be a very long time before she does something similar again.

You know, I’m really throwing myself into this, and honestly, I’m expecting great things! I feel incredibly thankful for the opportunity, and that’s truly the driving force behind it all. It feels like a special, maybe even final, chapter for the moment – a beautiful way to enjoy things to the fullest right now.

Ariana Grande’s new album, Eternal Sunshine, was a huge success when it came out in March 2024. Next summer, she’ll be hitting the road for her first big tour in seven years, starting with shows across the US and Canada, and finishing with ten performances at the O2 Arena in London.

The singer shared that she’s stopping touring because she realized how much her pop career had taken over her life.

She explained that it’s a skill you develop with experience. When she first started her career and pop music became all-consuming, she hadn’t learned it yet.

She explained that she feels much more in touch with herself and her creative work ever since she began exploring new activities.

I used to focus solely on pop music, but I realized I’m at heart someone who loves musical theatre and comedy. Now, I want to pursue whatever feels creatively fulfilling, even if it means making unexpected or impulsive choices. It’s about prioritizing what feels right for me, both personally and artistically.

Ariana Grande has been focusing more on acting lately, with her biggest role so far being Glinda in the upcoming movie version of Wicked, alongside Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey.

She’s currently shooting the latest Meet the Parents movie, titled Fockers In-Law, with Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro.

She said she loved the script, found it funny, and was thrilled to be working with the cast.

I’m planning to do a few shows next year because it feels right for me and is something I genuinely want to do.

I’ve found that once you start down a new path, lots of little differences appear. And honestly, I think it’s amazing to just follow what feels genuinely right – it always seems to lead to something good.

The actress and singer became well-known as a teen when she starred as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon show Victorious from 2010 to 2013. She later continued playing the same character in Sam & Cat.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen incredible transformations, and this artist’s journey is truly inspiring. She skyrocketed to global superstardom, releasing seven albums and topping the UK charts seven times! Beyond the accolades, she’s smashed streaming records and even taken home two Grammy Awards – a testament to her incredible talent and hard work. It’s a career that really demonstrates what’s possible with passion and dedication.

Ariana says the next ten years will be a big change from the fast-paced success she experienced throughout her twenties.

She shared that she felt lucky and thankful to realize there’s space for pursuing multiple creative interests.

I believe things are about to change significantly. The next decade or so will likely be very different from the recent past.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo wowed fans on the red carpet at the New York City premiere of Wicked: For Good on Monday.

Ariana and Cynthia, both 38 and stars of the movie as Glinda and Elphaba, turned heads with their elegant black and white outfits at the event. This appearance came shortly after Ariana had an unexpected encounter with a fan at the Singapore movie premiere.

The singer and actress looked stunning in a dramatic ballgown by Schiaparelli. The dress featured a striking black top and a full, flowing skirt made of light, pale fabric.

The singer, whose obsessed fan received a nine-day jail sentence on Monday, completed her look with a black hair bow and subtle makeup.

Despite recent reports of tension between the two actors, they appeared friendly and close as they held hands while posing for photos.

Singer Sabrina Carpenter attended the movie premiere with her boyfriend, actor Ethan Slater, who plays Boq in the film. While they both were there, they didn’t pose for photos together individually, only as part of larger groups, fueling recent speculation about a possible breakup.

Ariana also shared the ‘overwhelming gratitude’ they feel after wrapping up their Wicked journey.

She shared with E! News that working on the project was a wonderful experience. She loved collaborating with people she both admired for their talent and cherished as individuals.

She added that she’s excited for fans to ‘finally be able to get the full story.’

We’ve been working with them for nearly five years, so it’s really exciting that they’re finally learning everything we already knew.

Cynthia did not speak during the interview as she is currently on vocal rest.

Ariana excitedly shared her feelings about the 2026 Grammy nomination for ‘Defying Gravity,’ the song she and others created for the ‘Wicked’ soundtrack.

Oh my gosh, it’s just… amazing! I can’t even believe people still care, and that it’s being recognized even now, a whole year after the first movie came out! It means the world to me, honestly, to see that moment – our moment – finally get some love. I’m just so, so happy!
