One has a dark fringe that cascades over the eyes… the other’s Claudia! Strictly star makes her Crufts TV debut

It’s often said that dogs resemble their owners, and it seems a similar thing is happening at Crufts – some of the dog show contestants bear a striking resemblance to the television personalities reporting on the event.

Claudia Winkleman, known for her own dark, glossy hair, appeared to have found a furry twin when she began hosting the famous dog show on Thursday – cuddling a terrier with a strikingly similar look!

Perfectly groomed, award-winning dogs flocked to the Birmingham NEC for the competition.

I’m so excited to be here at this huge event – they’re expecting around 150,000 people! It all wraps up on Sunday evening, and that’s when we’ll finally find out who the judges choose as Best in Show. It’s going to be amazing!

Television presenter Claudia Winkleman, 54, arrived on the red carpet wearing a green jacket emblazoned with the word ‘DOGS’, paired with leggings and designer Bottega Veneta ankle boots costing £1,080. She met dogs and their owners at the event.

Before the event, Ms. Winkleman shared her excitement, saying she loves dogs and couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. She even had a pocket full of treats for them!

Amanda Holden joined her, sporting a denim-on-denim look with adorable embroidered portraits of her dogs, Minni and Rudie, on the back.

During the competition, judges will evaluate dogs in different breed groups, such as working dogs, pastoral breeds, and terriers.

Guests can enjoy watching demonstrations and contests that highlight the smarts and physical abilities of the dogs competing.

I’m thrilled to be at Crufts this year, but it’s a whirlwind because I’m also launching a brand new chat show on BBC1 next week! We’ve got a fantastic lineup of guests including the wonderful Jeff Goldblum, comedy icon Jennifer Saunders, the hilarious Tom Allen, and the incredibly talented Vanessa Williams from ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ musical. It’s going to be a busy but exciting time!

Claudia Winkleman, who left her position as co-host of Strictly Come Dancing with Tess Daly last year, jokingly said she expects to be ‘terrible’ in her new job.

The Claudia Winkleman Show begins next Friday at 10:40pm.
