One Direction Bandmates Reunite for Liam Payne Tribute at BRIT Awards

Liam Payne is reportedly set to be honoured with a special tribute at this year’s Brit Awards.

Last October, the singer passed away at the age of 31, following an accidental fall from a third-story hotel balcony in Argentina.

Rumor has it that show producers are currently brainstorming ideas for a memorable tribute to the celebrity, who frequently graced the event with their presence multiple times throughout the years, not only as a solo performer but also as a member of One Direction.

During this time, it was possible to witness a reunion of Liam’s ex-One Direction bandmates, including Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson, on stage after a decade apart.

They last performed together in March 2015 in Hong Kong during their On The Road Again Tour.

According to a source, the planned tribute for Liam at this year’s awards ceremony has sparked quite a lot of excitement and whispers that the remaining members of One Direction might reunite on stage during the event.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but feel that Liam deserves nothing less than an extraordinary tribute. And guess what? The wheels are already in motion to ensure that the segment dedicated to him at the Brits will be nothing short of legendary!

The music industry expert mentioned that the artist behind Strip That Down has always cherished the annual music spectacle, as he has both attended and graced its stage, and will indelibly be etched into its storied past.

They continued by saying: ‘The planning is just starting and the specifics are yet to be finalized, with formal steps to follow in the upcoming weeks. However, it’s expected to include a variety of performances, visually appealing photo and video presentations, and a live orchestra.’

It was noted that, aside from One Direction, other artists might play a part in honoring Liam during the evening as well.

TopMob have contacted representatives of the Brit Awards for comment.

It happened that Liam received a memorial plaque at Celvedon Pier in Somerset, after his passing in October 2024.

Clevedon Pier has recently revealed a memorial plaque honoring the late singer, who shares a unique connection with One Direction.

In 2014, the members of One Direction – Liam, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson – shot the memorable music video for “You & I” right on that very pier.

In a recent post, the verified Clevedon Pier account on social media shared an image of a plaque together with the lyrics from a song that X, previously recognized by another name, contributed to.

The plaque reads: ‘Remembering Liam Payne – One Direction. 29.08.1993 – 16.10.2024.

If you ever feel lost, simply seek me out where the constellations of summer shine brightly.

The title of the post announced: ‘Delighted to reveal – A commemorative plaque for Liam Payne has been installed at Clevedon Pier.’

The attractive plaque carries the words from one of Liam’s favorite songs. The band One Direction filmed their hit video “You & I” at Clevedon Pier.

Previously, One Direction brought back their 2013 film “This Is Us” to movie theaters for a special screening this month. The earnings from this event were given to charities as a tribute to the late Liam.

In my role as a lifestyle guide, I must share with you the heart-wrenching news that affected not only me but also the members of the renowned boyband we all adore – One Direction. On October 16, our dear friend and bandmate tragically passed away after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina. The loss left Niall, Zayn, Louis, and Harry devastated, as they had lost not just a bandmate but also a cherished comrade. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment we have with those we love.

The film documenting the band’s tour was screened at Odeon cinemas, with proceeds from every ticket sold being donated to mental health charities such as Mind, SAMH, and AWARE NI.

In an open manner, the deceased musician confessed about battling mental health problems and addiction to substances, disclosing experiences of intense suicidal ideations and excessive drug usage while he was part of the popular band that dominated the charts.

On Instagram, Odeon shared: ‘Due to high request and in honor of the late Liam Payne, we’re re-releasing One Direction: This is Us on the large screen starting from January 14.’

The funds generated from the sale of tickets for this event will go directly to supporting mental health awareness organizations like Mind, SAMH, and AWARE NI.
