One Day star Leo Woodall lands next lead movie role
As a seasoned gamer and movie enthusiast with a knack for spotting rising talents, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing Leo Woodall’s latest role announcements. The young actor has already proven his mettle with critically acclaimed performances in “One Day” and “The White Lotus,” and now he’s set to collaborate with acting legend Dustin Hoffman in the intriguing crime thriller “Tuner.”
One Day and The White Lotus season 2 actor Leo Woodall has landed his next lead movie role.
I’m pumped up to join forces with the legendary Dustin Hoffman in the gripping new crime thriller, “Tuner,” directed by the talented Daniel Roher. Can’t wait to dive into this exciting role!
As a cinema enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the movie I can’t wait to see – about a piano tuner who discovers his unique skills can be used in the underworld for opening safes – is set to be shopped around at the Toronto International Film Festival coming up this week.
Written by Oscar winner Roher with Robert Ramsey, production on Tuner will take place in Canada.
I’ve got more than just one game up my sleeve, mate. Earlier this year, I was also tapped to star in an upcoming Apple TV+ series titled “Prime Target.”
In addition to starring in Black Adam, Quintessa Swindell also appears in a series created by Ridley Scott and written by Steve Thompson.
“Prime Target” primarily revolves around the character of Woodall, a brilliant mathematician, who stumbles upon an intriguing pattern within prime numbers. This pattern, hypothetically, could potentially grant entry to any computer globally.
Yet, there’s a person hindering his progress in his project, and he joins forces with an NSA agent portrayed by Swindell, to unravel the mystery of who’s sabotaging him and understand their motives for wanting to conceal his groundbreaking finding from others.
As a gaming enthusiast, I dived headfirst into Woodall’s captivating drama “One Day” on Netflix this year, and boy, did it create quite the stir! The climactic twist, in particular, left viewers divided.
In a recent interview, the actor shared his thoughts on the series finale, expressing: “I believe it wraps up so satisfyingly that viewers won’t be left feeling too disappointed.”
Ambika Mod, who stars alongside Woodall, noted that the plot development was essential for the character progressions, yet she acknowledged it didn’t come as a shock that viewers had intense responses to the finale.
She mentioned, “During that time and that part of the book, as well as that specific incident, you might feel unexpectedly safe. However, when something surprising happens, it truly shocks you.”
“I know it does make a lot of people angry.”
