NetEase Games unveiled the release of the 2.0 version for “Once Human”. This announcement was made at the 2025 Global Annual Showcase, where it was disclosed that this update includes a new Player versus Environment (PvE) mission, more details about the PVP spin-off titled “Once Human: RaidZone”, and confirmed plans for console adaptations.

Explore the Endless Dream scenario, now fully unlocked from the start

In this year’s Annual Update 2.0, a new adventure called “Endless Dream,” themed around Nightmare, has been launched. This live experience invites you to journey through a distorted, psychedelic realm featuring CRT monitors, spooky amusement parks, and unusual hazards from the environment. Additionally, the entire world map is accessible right from the start.

As a gamer, I find myself immersed in this twisted, surreal world that’s been segmented into Dream Zones and Nightmare Areas – each brimming with enigma and peril. To add to the challenge, there’s this new Confusion mechanic in play, which only serves to heighten the tension. And let me tell you, it doesn’t stop there. This game introduces creatures known as Deviants, like Agony, Misery, and Naviety, each boasting unique, chilling abilities that will put my skills to the test!

In this setup, you’re given the freedom to construct buildings without any land limitations. Additionally, as you navigate through the game, you can uncover extra attributes. The world undergoes a five-tier development process, depending on how effectively you manage the nightmares. Your choices determine the various conclusions.

Join events, play mini-games, and earn free rewards

After the recent upgrade, you now have an opportunity to acquire 11 Lightforge Ingots and Starchom without charge by accomplishing missions and participating in events. Engage in various in-game actions such as mini-games within Dreamland Wonder, save the colossal Chefosaurus Rex, and daily log-ins for additional incentives.

By finishing the mini-games, you’ll get tickets for the enchanting Dreamland Wonder, which allows you to participate in the thrilling Deviation Shooting Game. Additionally, you can have a fantastic fireworks display with your companions right inside the Dreamland Wonder.

The latest standalone PvP spin-off, dubbed ‘Once Human: RaidZone’, is currently in early access and scheduled to release on July 30. Initially unveiled in May 2025, this game caters to fans of intense combat, offering a lawless open world where you start with no gear.

In this intense player-versus-player (PVP) survival game, you’ll have to gather essential resources such as weapons and construction materials, even forming short-term partnerships with fellow players. The entire playfield is accessible without any designated safe zones, allowing you the freedom to attack other players’ bases whenever you choose.

To improve it significantly, the Deviation Powers in the main game have been revamped to boost the Player versus Player (PvP) aspect, allowing you to deploy the power of deviations against your opponents, which is quite exciting.

Once Human is launching on both Xbox and PlayStation consoles in 2026

Exciting tidings for console enthusiasts! The game, Once Human, is now joining the ranks of PlayStation and Xbox platforms as well. Although a specific launch date hasn’t been announced yet, the team has assured us that they are in the final stages of development. So, get ready to catch sneak peeks and platform-tailored enhancements, which will be unveiled shortly.
