The series has depicted the family’s life in Lehi, Utah, Las Vegas, and Flagstaff over time. Janelle, Meri, and Christine have ended their marital ties with Kody, while Robyn continues to be his legal spouse. Although multiple marriages are not legally valid in the U.S., Kody refers to his relationships with the women as “spiritual partnerships.
