Omen is disabled in all queues due to a bug
Due to a technical issue involving Omen’s Dark Cover skill, he’s currently unable to join any matches. Unfortunately, we won’t be getting any unsuspected insights from him at the moment.
Following the disclosure of a bug involving Omen character by the Wolves Esports coach on server X, VALORANT authorities have decided to temporarily eliminate Omen from all game modes until the issue is addressed. They anticipate resolving this matter by the next day.
Omen bug
In a recent post, Wolfes Esports player “Fayde” Chong showcased an unusual bug involving Omen’s Dark Cover ability. During gameplay, instead of concealing himself, Omen was able to perceive the enemy team’s location and hear their movements. This provided an unfair advantage to his team as it allowed them to know the enemy’s position. Remarkably, Omen also appeared to float above the map, similar to the ghost mode in custom games used for testing new agents, combinations of characters, and maps.
In a subsequent post, Riot Games addressed the issue and stated that character Omen would be temporarily unavailable in all queues to rectify a bug. They mentioned that he would be offline starting at 5:15 PM PT and will remain so until more information is available. On X, they expressed their hope that the problem would be resolved promptly, keeping everyone informed as updates become available. Many fans found humor in the situation, likening it to Omen’s storyline, calling it “very accurate.
If you’re an Omen player searching for teammates, you can team up with Astra, Brimstone, Clove, Viper, or Harbor as they’re still active. In the previous month, Reyna was temporarily unavailable due to a technical issue affecting her Devour ability; her overheal wasn’t updating correctly.
